My letter to Sen. Voinovich

After hearing about the attack machine that is mounting it's assualt against Sen. Voinovich, I decided to write him a letter of thanks. It must have been difficult for him to make this stand and oddly enough, he has made me proud of him. That's not something that comes easy for me in respect to Sen. Voinovich but we here understand the shit storm he's about to weather. I sent him this letter of appreciation and thanks and I beg you to do the same, if you agree of course. I believe it is imperitive that we support those who choose to stand up against the tyrranical practices of some in our government. Maybe if we show him support, he may begin to realize what we face and gain a new respect for our position. I do not expect him to change his politics, I just want to thank him for standing up for what is right.

Dear Sen. Voinovich,

I would like to thank you for allowing the Senate to continue deliberations on this nominee. I did not expect any support to come from the Republican side of the aisle for continued reasonable discourse on this nominee. I was pleasantly surpirsed by your statements and your desire to seek the truth to the allegations. I understand many people are not happy with your decision to fully vet this nominee and I can appreciate the fire-storm coming your way. The attack machine that is mobilizing against you is formidable and relentless but you can rest assured, by your actions yesterday, you have earned the respect of a great many of your fellow citizens in Ohio and especially in the small circle of freinds that I have. I did not support your re-election and I do not expect you to change your political ideology but I do appreciate your willingness to listen to honest debate. That is what earns my respect, above all else.

Voinovich will pay attention to your letters and others like them from Ohio. The number one priority for all politicians is getting elected.

Voinovich will drop Bolton like a hot potato if Bolton becomes a liability. Now to get V. to see that W is a liability to him as well....
