You mean to tell me we are paying private companies to protect our |
|
military. What the hell is wrong with that picture? AND we are paying them more than we pay the men and women in our military. Way more. WTF is that all about?

4. This is one reason the military hates Ronald Dumsfeld |
|
Even my most conservative military friends hate Rumsfeld, and this is one of the reasons why. The "privatization" of the military has been going on for quite some time, but this war has seen the most we've ever had. Halliburton had a lot of these contracts, of course. This is why our soldiers were getting two sport bottles of water a day in summer desert conditions.

This's all about the ownership society, don'cha know? All these rent-a-cop firms start up, hire some help and voila! you've got a stable bringing in...say...what? ...$8-$10K a month a head? It's the honey pot on a scale never seen, or imagined, before this neocon gang came on the scene. They are literally looting our treasury, and I hope I live to see them all executed for treason. Maybe drawn and quartered...

7. It's kinda like hiring hit men to protect policemen who can't patrol |
|
without being shot.
The whole thing is so fucking upside down, it defies description.
The military hiring guards to protect itself because it can't protect itself.
What in the fuck does that tell you?

8. It's the privatization of the military |
|
Privatization of all types of government functions has been dramatically increasing, and most people simply do not realize the consequences (of course, the neocons most certainly do realize the consequences, but they actually approve of them).
We've privatized significant elements of our military. We have privatized our elections. We have privatized our school systems. We have privatized our health care systems, and are increasing this privatization with "vouchers" for many programs, much like with schools.
It's truly disgusting.
