Is this true about the democrats?
I just heard on Malloy's show that if the republicans do get rid of the filibuster they'll all walk out and won't let anything get done. Is this true? Will they do this the whole four years or what? I was wondering if anybody had any info on this. And could the republicans still do work or would it take some democratic votes to pass things?

1. They have the majority. So yes, they could pass things on their own
if dems do not have the ability to fillibuster.

19. If they tried to break the fillibuster for legislation it would mean hell
Judicial appointments are one thing. Breaking the fillibuster in general might actually get this country to wake up and realize that these guys actually are fascists.

2. A walk out would be brillant
I would have so much respect for anybody who tries to make a stand by walking out.

We had a politican here, who once drove his tractor up the steps of parliment in protest of a new tax.

3. Oh wow
I'd be impressed if that happened. I just heard him talking about it. I do remember hearing about it when they first started talking about the filibuster thing but didn't hear too much after that. I would love to see every democrat, including Liberman, walk out.

5. I think they would revoke "unanimous consent".
That would require every bill, ammendment, resolution etc. to be read before the Senate in its entirety before they could start discussing it. Seeing as how those things are often very, very long, this would not close the Senate but would effectively bring it to a standstill. The Democrats have already gone on the record to say they would not do this on military or national security bills.

10. Yes you are correct.
In addition, I would like to remind everyone that, despite the RW talking heads saying it would set a "precedent", that is NOT true.

Gingrich and company did it to Clinton, remember? They shut the government down.

They just don't like it being turned back on THEM.

If every democrat on ever level in office did that and every democrat refused to go into work. The possibility is scary.

16. When the Dems did this in Texas...
to protest a vote on blatantly partisan redistricting (thanks Delay, you punk), it brought the state senate to a halt since a quorum was required (not sure if it's the same for the US Senate).

20. They don't need to leave they can just fillibuster
Breaking a fillibuster of 41 senators is damn near impossible. The two speech rule is sort of supposed to make this more difficult, but what they can do is yield the floor for questioning and the questioner can talk for as long as he/she wants. They can tie up the Senate floor until the next election if they want to.

21. I finally exhaled!
This Nuclear Options bill has had me very worried but I just realized that most people in this country are not fundamental Christians who believe that we should all worship Jesus, (Heck if Jesus were here He wouldn't want us to worship Him)

We have got to have faith in the system and maybe this horrendous bill will backfire on the wanna-be dictators. And if most Democrats walk out aren't the remaining ones going to feel like little worms?

Remember the fundamentalists really did not win this election. I am still convinced that it was stolen just like 2000.
