"Kerry-Edwards" signs and bumper-stickers making a comeback?
Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 11:02 PM by NEOBuckeye
Maybe it's just me, but I've been noticing a lot more "John Kerry" and "Kerry-Edwards" campaign bumper stickers on cars lately. A house convieniently situated across from the rear driveway of a Walgreens drug store in my neighborhood has even posted a Kerry-Edwards sign from the 2004 campaign in its yard.

Anyone else think America is starting to realize who our real president ought to be? Maybe it's that, or else everyday Dems are passive-aggressively making their decision in 2004 known to everyone else.

ON EDIT: I should add that I'm in the Akron-Cleveland area, which is far and away the blueest region of Ohio.

1. In Nothern Colorado, just the opposite.
I haven't seen a Kerry sticker in months, but I see more W's than I EVER saw back in November.

15. there's quite a few in Denver
bumper stickers and even some yard signs.

there does seem to be more "W" bumper stickers, though - that and those "support the troops" yellow ribbons... mostly on SUVs or large pickup trucks.

It's really noticeable - the difference between "Bush" and "Kerry" vehicles...

60. Kerry was your President - they just stole the election again
Amazing how we all just accepted it and got over it!

And all the behind the scenes investigations went unreported by the msm.

What do you think would happen to this country if the truth came out, even Kerry knew that.

Imagine how other countries would view the US. Kerry caved, never folllowed thru with; "this time your vote will be counted" and maybe, just maybe he had no other choice.

65. Lots of "W" stickers
here on Long Island, too. The worst one I've seen yet was "W = Winner 04". But there are still Kerry stickers aplenty as well.

The Kerry sign is still up in front of my yard, just in front of a "Don't Tread on Me" Navy Jack flying on our flagpole.

4. I've seen a few fresh Kerry/Edwards stickers, too
I'll tell you this much:

John Kerry ran a lackluster campaign. The convention in late July was, for the most part, tepid at best. Kerry's own strategists said that he faced certain death in the Presidential debates without a lot of intensive rehearsal and coaching. But I'll take John Kerry over four more years of * any time.

At least Kerry was trying to listen to the American people at times.

49. Hmmm...
I was at the Boston Convention... and there was absolutely nothing "tepid" about it. There was nothing tepid about the debates, either. Nor was Kerry "trying" to listen to the American people "at times."

7. Kinda early for a nostalgia movement, no?
No. It is not.

But when you look at the terror alerts that were as thick as fleas on an old hound-dog, the Swift Boat Whores, the media's complicity, the war drumming, and the obvious electoral manipulations...then, fast forward to today...well, people got to be catching a clue.

Fact is, he did not run on SS "deform". He did not run on these massive cuts in programs. He did not run on instituting a theocracy. He ran on none of this at all.

"I didn't vote for this!" is something you are gonna keep hearing a lot. Do remember to remind those people that say this that yes, yes they did and they just were not paying attention to the fact that voting for the chimp was effectively voting for Ayn Rand, John Birch, Torquemada, and Crazy Gugenheim, all rolled into one. The evidence was there, too.

When they get to the part about not trusting Kerry, ask them if they trust all this, and remind them that with Kerry, at least none of this nightmare would be occurring. For a nightmare it is, and I lived through the Nixon Era. He may have been a daft little man, but he would never have attempted this.

I will say it again: by 2006, this country is gonna be going tilt.

It's gonna be a madhouse.

I don't remember Bush talking about much really. Most I remember is 9/11, 9/11, Saddam Hussein, Kerry attacks, 9/11, 9/11. I never heard what Bush was going to do for me and why I should vote for him (yeah, right).

Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 11:17 PM by KaliTracy
YES -- I'm seeing "fresh" Kerry-Edwards bumper stickers -- a few more than I saw on my daily commute. My workplace is 99.9% Republican (lone liberal), and my neighborhood is 95% Republican, but I am seeing more in the grocery parking lot and when driving to and from work than when the campaigning was going on.... I try to give a positive response whenever I see them. It's not like we're being overtaken by them or anything, but they are out there.

Have to say that there are an awful lot of "Viva Bush" and W stickers, too, though.

(I wanted to print out the word WHY? to superimpose it to their bumper stickers....)

Edit: I'm between Cincinnati/Dayton (West Chester, Ohio - close to Warren County (home of the terror-threat "lock down" on election night).

Of course, there is a plethora of Kerry/Edwards stickers on cars. There are also quite a few with various combinations....Dean/Kerry....Kucinich/Kerry....Clark/Kerry...sometimes Clark/Dean/Kucinich/Kerry....

I have a Kerry "Real Deal", which is a slight variation from this on my car...

A decent number of solo Kerry/Edwards stickers also. Dean/Kerry and Kucinich/Kerry are the most common. I've seen solo Kucinich and Dean stickers also.

I've pretty much gone to homemade issue stickers on bankruptcy, social security and anti-war myself. Currently in my back window I have DON'T GAMBLE WITH MY SOCIAL SECURITY next to a pair of fuzzy dice.

and after the election I added "Draft Young Republicans". Neither one is coming off until 2008 when we have a Democratic nominee or when every single one of the American men and women that are presently in Iraq and Afghanistan are all safely back home.

Living in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, I've gotten quite a few thumbs up and no negative comments from anyone that's engaged me in a conversation. One older man, late 60's, wanted to know where I got "Draft Young Republicans. He wanted to put one on his car.

35. 80% red, or any of those stated numbers can not be trusted.
Remember, 80% red and the rest of the bogus numbers are distributed by Karl Rove. He's a lying, fascist proned criminal. It does not mean those were the real numbers at all with the amount of fraud that took place.

http://www.votersunite.org

One should be very suspect of those answers....Its much clearer that there are millions of republicans in so called red states, indeed all states, that voted for Kerry and had their votes switched to Bush.

64. Interesting take
While I hardly think these folks are rallying for a repeat of 04 I also doubt these are newly applied. I suspect people leave 'em on to make a statement and they would snap up new ones if made conveniently available.

I see a lot less Kerry/Edwards stickers around here lately but I've been seeing more and more Dem friendly statements. The source for many of these bumper stickers? Our local Dem party. It's a win/win. The people get the swag they want, the local party raises some money.
