But that was in the 'premath' of Rita, and they were calling it burglary, with hints that it might be looting.
The difference pre-storm is non-existent. And, if you think about it, would you rather loot a perfectly intact home or store, or one that's been trashed by a storm?

The reporters involved said why they used different terminology and no one's proved to my satisfaction that the reason they used different terminology was race. Race is assumed to be the sole reason for the difference. Or put another way, race was assumed to be the reason why the pictures were allowed to be put up showing people of different races in different lights in similar if not equal acts, because this was racially disparaging to everyone not appreciating the context and therefore, insulting and wrong.
That's a big assumption. I feel like that assumption's been latched on to because it reinforces a political viewpoint, not because it necessarily has truth behind it. So now "finding" is code word for media discrimination? All we're managing to do is ban a word from the media's vocabulary. Reality hasn't changed one bit.
