Bush is supposed to choose a judge thats best for the Nation...Not HIM |
|
And this is why Harriet Miers will not do....
She is too close to Bush....to be on the SCOTUS....
Having tried, Bush will go to back up....

7. bush says he knows her mind n' her heart...he knows she will do everything |
|
possible to hide his crimes--that's why knowing her heart and mind is more important than knowing whether or not she is qualified. in fact, in bush world, the only qualification is whether an applicant, or a nominated-nominee will work toward protecting the bush boy and towards hiding his crimes. they've got to be a member of the crime family and the bush evil empire.
imagine an afternoon tea at the white house between laura bush, condoleezza rice, karen hughes, harriet miers ... anyone else to add to the list? yeah, why not add to it old ma' bush and the twins.

9. I can't believe I share this opinion with this person!! |
|
"But her qualifications for the Supreme Court are non-existent. She is not a brilliant jurist, indeed, has never been a judge. She is not a scholar of the law. Researchers are hard-pressed to dig up an opinion. She has not had a brilliant career in politics, the academy, the corporate world or public forum. Were she not a friend of Bush, and female, she would never have even been considered.
What commended her to the White House, in the phrase of the hour, is that she “has no paper trail.” So far as one can see, this is Harriet Miers’ principal qualification for the U.S. Supreme Court."
This was Pat Buchanan! (from the Hardblogger page on MSNBC)
For the first time in his life, W has actually beeen a unificater, not a divisabler! He has brought the far right and the far left together in their revulsion of this appointment. And some of the squishy squashy middle is just grateful, because, hey, it could have been worse. I honestly cannot imagine any situation that could be worse.
