How low do Americans have the bar set for their President? RE: KATRINA
Edited on Mon Oct-10-05 09:56 AM by expatriot
Poll after poll in the past month shows that an overwhelming majority of Americans (65-70%) believe Bush could have responded sooner to the Katrina disaster. What I don't understand is how someone who thinks that Bush could have responded sooner does not also think that Bush should be immediately impeached and removed.

We are not talking about a split second decision, we are talking about days that he sat on his hands doing nothing. We know that he knew that a catastrophic storm was approaching the densely populated areas of New Orleans and the LA/MS/AL Gulf Coast. We know that he knew (or at least was told, who knows if he "listened") what kind of damages we could expect.

So is this how low Americans' bar is set for their President? Has Bush lowered the bar that much or has the bar always been that low?

1. when will the sheeple start to notice that
it only took bushco THREE DAYS to have aid start reaching pakistan; a considerable improvement over how long it took to reach louisiana-stan?

3. 3 days is about how long it took him to actually order aid to go to La.

2. I was just talking about this over the weekend..
. the earthquake survivors were complaining of slow response, in Pakistan after 2 days, and in America it took 4-5 days before there was wide spread complaint. It seems Bush has done an excellent job of lowering Americas expectations.

5. Amazing how quickly he responded to Pakistan earthquake, & found money
to give, that he supposedly NEVER has for "social" programs here at home. Damn that Social Security...wire "cash" and aid to Pakistan IMMEDIATELY.

And Pakistan sits WHERE? At Afghanistan's border? How coincidental...that again these "natural disasters" conveniently gives this Admin. reasons for "presence" in areas of strategic advantage to them.

"There are no such things as coincidences," you know.

So many natural disasters, so little time...
