10. His answer to her sounds to me like
she cautioned him about public swearing - scatology would be her word, not his - and his reaction is typical. He likes having strong women telling him how to behave, like the mama's boy he is. Like his mama, they (Condi, Karen Hughes, Miers) butter him up then slap him down and he takes it like a puppy.

8. This is more worrisome than funny
He says we should trust him on her nomination. I had always taken such words as political bullshit. But this kinda makes me think he thinks she's actually qualified. And **that** is worrisome.

9. THIS is from a mature, adult woman?????
Edited on Mon Oct-10-05 11:45 PM by Angry Girl
More like a naive, giddy, and highly impressionable school girl barely old enough to be her grand-daughter. Embarrassing and pathetic. Really pathetic. Look up love-lorn, pathetic, immature loser in the dictionary and you'll find a picture of Harriet. Ugh. Gag me with a spoon. This woman-child on the Supreme Court? :puke:

14. She is someone who
would never see that her idol could do anything wrong. That could be the sole reason for the nomination. He's in trouble and needs her help and she will most certainly be there.

17. i am a woman in love, by Barbra...
Life is a moment in space
When the dream is gone
It’s a lonelier place
I kiss the morning goodbye
But down inside you know
We never know why
The road is narrow and long
When eyes meet eyes
And the feeling is strong
I turn away from the wall
I stumble and fall
But I give you it all...

Chorus:
I am a woman in love
And I do anything
To get you into my world
And hold you within
It’s a right I defend
Over and over again
What do I do?

With you eternally mine
In love there is
No measure of time
We planned it all at the start
That you and i
Would live in each other’s hearts
We may be oceans away
You feel my love
I hear what you say
No truth is ever a lie
I stumble and fall
But I give you it all
Repeat chorus
I am a woman in love
And I’m talking to you
Do you know how it feels?
What a woman can do
It’s a right
That I defend over and over again......

She's a gnome, yall.

UGH, reading her comments makes me want to hurl.

In Bushworld, the perfect woman is the one who fawns over him, no doubt giving him the nurturing encouragement Battle Axe Barb denied him.

20. When I read this quote
Miers wrote. "I was struck by the tremendous impact you have on the children whose lives you touch."

My mind instantly focused on the thousands of Iraqi children killed and maimed because of lying sack.

First, she thinks Dumbass is the most brilliant man she's ever met and now we discover her lips were superglued to his ass for years before?

25. she "oozes with deference" and called a plane ride with him "cool!"
... and who syas she doesn't have the intellectual heftt to serve on the Supreme Court?

Indeed, Miers oozes with deference and awe in her letters to Bush. In a 1995 note, she thanked Bush for a visit and called a ride in a plane with him "Cool!" When she wrote Bush a thank-you note for meeting with a lottery job applicant in 1997, she wrote, "You are the best!"
