Oddly enough, it was the one really good thing he did. It may make up for most of the horrible, incompetant things he did. I'm just waiting for the right to turn on Ashcroft.

he appointed the second in command at the doj to pick a prosecutor. well this guy was a career guy who may have not liked what he saw so he decided to pick fitz because he knew fitz would get to the bottom of what ever there was. so the rest is of the history is still being written
