So, will the Republicans stop playing Victim yet?
Seems like it's time. After years of crying foul with straw men threats - the liberal media, public education, women, homosexuals, the UN and France - it looks like the extremist "base" of the Republican party is more the perp than the victim.

Behind the cover of their wedge issues, the fringe Republican party is attempting a massive realignment of federal priorities. Under the guise of less government - a standard Republican mantra - they are fashioning a bigger federal government in partnership with the private sector which skirts political, legal and public ethics.

The recent string of investigations, indictments and the possibility of a reinvigorated press ought to ring a bell for the right wing. Playing the victim is no longer a public policy option. Times change.

I suspect even mainstream Repubs feel violated by now. As they should.

2. No, they won't stop
And furthermore they will continue to consider it their exclusive domain.

They love to characterize our side as playing victim, and/or institutionalizing victim-dom by passing legislation to protect groups that actually are traditionally trompled on.

But that is different, in their warped little minds, I mean. They whine and moan and complain more than anyone.

One reason may be that our side does have the capacity for empathy and compassion, and they know it.

They don't have that capacity.

It's unfair. MOMMMMMIEEE!!!!!!! I WANT MY MOMMMIEEEE!!!!"
