It's hit MSM! Matthews discussed "broader" investigation, forged Ital.docs |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-21-05 06:55 PM by Wordie
He did extensive coverage on the possibility of Fitzgerald looking at criminal charges in relation to faulty reasons for going to war! Not just the outing of Valerie Plame.
MY GOD! I can hardly believe this!
Edited for grammar.

He presumably has access to way more information.
I just can't believe this! This is the biggest political thing that has happened in my lifetime. Bigger than Watergate!

10. Bigger than Watergate |
|
Bigger than Watergate, Teapot Dome, and Iran/Contra all combined. And yet hardly anybody in the general public has more than a clue what's happening. One of these days, they're all going to be saying "Huh? WTF just happened? Where's Clinton's penis?"

This is EARTHSHATTERING, and all it gets is this sort of ho-hum response. (Although there do seem to be some who get it.)

14. I think it's more the MSM than the sheeple's denial. |
|
You have to search for info about this whole thing. Well, the last week or so, MSM talks about it some, but they still act like it's only Rove and Libby.

15. That's the amazing thing...some msm are talking about more than Plamegate |
|
Tweety actually was talking about larger international implications and the forged Niger uranium documents, and how the scope of the investigation was now thought to be way beyond the outing of Valerie Plame.
KO actually was talking about how the investigation might go higher than Rove and Libby, and who is higher than Rove and Libby?
So, only this afternoon, it appears there has been a HUGE change. Maybe it's the Fitzgerald website that went up. Everyone is saying that it means that there really are going to be charges.

21. did watergate happen in your lifetime? |

Cause there is no way that this is going to turn out bigger than Watergate. Watergate resulted in the President resigning. That isn't gonna happen here.

22. I remember finding the article buried at the back of the paper, and I got |
|
all excited and KNEW there was more to it. My friends (even very liberal ones) didn't really think it was that important. At least at first...
So, I get the same feeling here. I think Plame is only the tip of a very-much-bigger iceberg. And, it's gonna be bigger than Watergate, imho.

I want them to know they must defend this nation after I am gone. Their grandmother can not believe she can have a discussion with them over what is happening in our nation today. Raise your children right, spoon feed them politics.

20. How would the WMD lies give rise to criminal charges? |
|
Like it or not, its not illegal for a government to lie to its people. In theory, Fitz could go after admin officials that lied under oath in Congressional hearings, but there is zero chance of him stepping on Congress' turf in that way. So it would have to be perjury before the GJ... likely source of indictments with respect to the Plame outing, but not about anything else, IMHO.
