The Judge that will decide
if Perkins should step aside in the Delay case is a Republican who has contributed to the GOP..Is this fair..The Judge Schraub has contributed to the GOP and several state and local GOP candidates in Texas. This is an AP story I found in the www.chicagotribune.com

1. His decision will be based upon a lie......
Edited on Sat Oct-22-05 09:53 AM by liberalnurse
Does he want that on his resume'? Move-On did NOT sell Delay mugshot T-shirts...... The Motion was a bold-face lie!

3. I didn't say there were no T-shirts out there....
Just that Move-On did not sponsor such a product. The Motion focus was regarding Perkins and his donation to Move-On in 2004, relating this action to the Move-On T-shirt......which is a lie. There are no Move-On T-shirts with Delay's mug shot.....

10. To be fair, they switched to a Different Lie when MoveOn challenged
them.

They said it was done by a group that was funded by MoveOn.

Wrong.

4. I think what people are missing is that judges in Tx. are elected!
They actually RUN as Dems or Pubs. There isn't any judge in the State that hasn't comtributed to his own Party candidates.

I can't predict what this Judge Schraub is going to rule, but my guess is he will leave Perkins on the case. It might have made a difference if Perkins had been making public comments against DeLay or talking about his probable guilt, but just a relatively small contribution to the Dems isn't likely to be enough to warrant recusal.

5. I was curious about the Rethug Judge over Judge Perkins...
I think that Rethug will be hard pressed not to appear politically partisan here.

9. Judge Schraub an administrative judge
will decide if Perkins should hear the Case is appointed and is not one of the elected judges

12. I guess this means that any person that has to stand before a
judge in Texas will in the future have the right to demand that he be of the same political party. Future defendants can Judge Shop!

14. I almost hope Tom wins this one
then any American can ask for a new judge any time they are not from the same party. Sure Tommy, try again.
