Josh Bolten considering Tom Delay to replace him at OMB
UN News is reporting that Josh Bolten, the new yes man for the Bush administration, is down to a handful of people that will replace him as the next OMB director.

Bolten is considering someone outside of Washington, with a strong, conservative fiscal background, and high credentials to cut wasteful spending.

Some of the people he is considering are Joel Kaplen, the current OMB deputy director. Al Hubbard, director of the National Ecomonic Council, and Rob Portman, the current trade czar. And one asscociate even said that disgraced Congressmen Tom Delay is also under consideration, although he did admit, that he is not on the top tier of candidates. Maybe not, but if Bolten is even considering Delay, is just mindnumbing crazy!!!

2. As I speculated in another thread, the idea here is to give DeLay a
little love. This way, the K Street clods still think he has some juice. Won't happen. Before he could finish his turnover, he'd be taking leave due to indictments.

9. Excellent
They'll look like even bigger douchebags when he's 1) convicted on state money laundering charges and 2) indicted on federal corruption charges.

The guy is so radioactive that he can't win his own seat in fucking Texas and you want to put him in charge of the office of management and budget? Please do it. It would make my day.

11. Bushco has a heck of a learning curve, don't they?
Approval ratings in the toilet, and they want to hire one of the GOP's biggest crooks. :dunce:

If Cheney goes, maybe they'll appoint Brownie as Veep!

14. Do you believe Bolten is that thick to appoint DeLay to OMB?
I figured Bolten to be a Rethug, but at least a halfway intelligent one.

Or is he being pressured to appoint Tom DeLay so that DeLay doesn't spill the beans?
