Iran: U.S. is in no position to attack

By ALI AKBAR DAREINI, Associated Press Writer 36 minutes ago

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran's foreign minister said Saturday the United States was in no position for another war, and maintained that negotiations — not threats — were the only way to resolve the standoff over its nuclear activities.

Manouchehr Mottaki was responding to Vice President Dick Cheney, who renewed Washington's warning to Iran earlier Saturday that "all options" were on the table if Tehran continues to defy U.N. demands to halt uranium enrichment.

Mottaki said the U.S. could not afford to settle its differences with Iran by launching a third war after Afghanistan and Iraq.

"We do not see America in a position to impose another crisis on its tax payers inside America by starting another war in the region," Mottaki told reporters.

2. We may be watching an impending collision
of lunatics.

Too bad one of those lunatics is driving our bus.

8. More than a little frightened.
I think both sides have deep motives for bringing on war.
Ahmadinejad thinks he can win, and Bush just needs a war. They're both nuts, & Israel seems willing to throw the gas on the fire at our bidding.

6. All this crap about nuclear materials
is just a smokescreen. The U.S. and Israel want a pre-emptive strike against Iran's OIL BOURSE. Destroying the infrastructure would accomplish that with the side benefit of making the oil lield easier to seize.

9. Vets are organizing against an Iran war
and they need all of our help to help spread the message. Please, if you have not already done so, visit http://www.stopiranwar.com/ and join in the effort. New features are still being added to the site and the campaign is just starting. Right now you can leave your own recorded message at the site and/or sign petitions to your members or Congress and/or to the President. It also has software that sets it up for you to write letters to your local newspapers if you just fill in your zip code.

Most important though they are asking everyone to help spread the word across the net about this effort. The hour is late.
