since it must be mainly about us, given your OP. It would be unseemly and rude to say 'good', and it would be slightly dishonest to say "keep it coming".

I think you must do what you feel is best, whether it be posting what you think, stepping back, stepping forward, whatever you think right.

You and I often disagree on what constitutes a productive argument, and we have different takes on Edwards and Clark, but we are both determined that this corrupt administration be taken down hard. That matters.

I know that I make silent resolutions all the time...usually more along the lines of 'I've had it with this place", but an hour later I'm back.

For my sanity, I should stay away more.

on you or your ideas. It's pretty brutal here sometimes. Did I say 'sometimes'? I meant 'often'.

I think if people can find a way to more respectfully criticize (it IS possible, I'd like to think), then you would not feel like you need a break, and the discussion would be both more pleasant and more productive. Too many think that the insult is a measure of their conviction and passion. This is wrong I think.

29. Well kinda, sorta......I had some choices, but none were pleasant...

It's hard carrying on a discussion when 12 of the 13 responses I got to any question I had on candidates were more about me than about the subject of the discussion. Makes it difficult to communicate, and keeps others away that might otherwise participate.

Remember that right after 9/11, only 10% of us supported Bush. Time passed and now, I'd be surprised if more than 20% support him now. Time sometimes makes the difference. I shall see.

Right now, fighting that fight is just not worth it for me. We are too far away from the crucial election period for me to have to deal with the load that is thrown at me everytime I make a post that's not Kittens and puppies.

Maybe this move will make others even more determined to have their voices heard and it may allow them to call out those who personally attack other DUers on this site simply based on questioning politicians.

As for those who are as tired as I am, they can adopt my avatar anytime they want (I see a couple have already!)....as it a way of stating that discussion is being stifled by certain members here to the point that some no longer have the strength to exercise the freedom to speak about Democratic political candidates during our Democratic primaries on a Democratic political discussion forum. It will allow those of us who feel this way to communicate such without having to say a word just yet.
