the Righties are really worried!
I am a mail carrier, so I observe many things that go on in our communities.

Today, though, I was struck by the sheer number of mailings from various right wing organizations attacking the Dems and particularly Hillary Clinton.

The route that I was on today has a fair number of Republicans on it- you know, those die hards who put that sign up stating "Fight terrorism- vote Republican" and "Social Security- do the Math" and other such idiotic sayings. I have one patron who has a W04 sticker on her mailbox and it is so difficult not to hit her mailbox post. It is a good thing that there is no picture of Dubya- that would really be a target!

They seem to really think that Hillary has a good chance of becoming elected and they are scared to death.

It makes me wonder what kind of dirty tricks they will come up with closer to the election, as they don't fight fair.

Just my 2 cents worth!

3. Doesn't Matter. Repiglican Coffers Are Bottomless
Since the Repiggies get to loot the Treasury at will, they have unlimited funds at their disposal.

6. the freeps are praying for Hillary and see her as the most beatable.
check out the freepers site. I have read them and they even have talked of registering as dems to vote for her to ensure a Hillary victory. that think she is the easiest to beat.
they don't say much about Edwards so I don't know how they feel.
They see Obama as the hardest to go up against as he is attracting alot of indies and even some republicans. See his charisma as a hard thing to go up against and his likability.
they see Hillary's unlikability as an asset to them.

8. good question
it doesn't meet MY postal regulation- but I guess you can do what you want with your mailbox.

What really irks me is that political mail is to be treated as first class mail, yet they pay next to nothing for it. And yes, it does seem like Republicans outspend the Dems in that department.

10. Curbside Mailboxes
3.2.1 Manufacturer Specifications

Manufacturers of all mailboxes designed and made to be erected at the edge of a roadway or curbside of a street and to be served by a carrier from a vehicle on any city route, rural route, or highway contract route must obtain approval of their products under USPS Standard 7, Mailboxes, City and Rural Curbside. To receive these construction standards and drawings or other information about the manufacture of curbside mailboxes, write to USPS Engineering (see 608.8.0 for address).

3.2.2 Custom-Built Mailbox

The local postmaster may approve a curbside mailbox constructed by a customer who, for aesthetic or other reasons, does not want to use an approved manufactured box. The custom-built box must generally meet the same standards as approved manufactured boxes for flag, size, strength, and quality of construction.

3.2.4 Mailbox Post

The post or other support for a curbside mailbox must be neat and of adequate strength and size. The post may not represent effigies or caricatures that tend to disparage or ridicule any person. The box may be attached to a fixed or movable arm.

3.2.5 Advertising

Any advertising on a mailbox or its support is prohibited.

3.2.6 Location

Subject to state laws and regulations, a curbside mailbox must be placed to allow safe and convenient delivery by carriers without leaving their vehicles. The box must be on the right-hand side of the road in the direction of travel of the carriers on any new rural route or highway contract route, in all cases where traffic conditions are dangerous for the carriers to drive to the left to reach the box, or where their doing so would violate traffic laws and regulations.

9. mow that damn thing down already
lol, my brother accidentally demolished an ornate mail box because he slid on ice and the man of the house was soooo grateful, confiding that his father-in-law had made it and that he (the house owner) had always DESPISED it. :D
