I just sent an email to my DINO Representative in Congress...
Edited on Wed May-23-07 09:42 PM by rateyes
Jim Marshall of Georgia. I told him that I have voted for him only because I wanted a Democratic Majority to end this war. Now that the Dems have caved on this, I have NO REASON whatsover to keep voting for him. I will support any Democratic challenger to him in a primary, and if he is the nominee, then I WILL NOT vote for him simply because of the (D) beside his name. If a Republican gets elected in his place, it won't matter, because he's a Republican ANYWAY! If he changes his tune, he'll get my support. If not, I'm done with him.

As for POTUS, right now my vote goes to Dennis Kucinich. He, John Edwards and Chris Dodd are the ONLY ones who have denounced the so-called "compromise" on the war funding bill.

If Gore gets in, then he gets my vote. To hell with the rest of the field who have SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to this point. Tomorrow will be too damned late for me.

Sorry for the rant, but I am one pissed off Democrat. And, where the hell is Howard Dean on this one? Anybody know?

On edit: I changed the post to read "Dennis Kucinich" where I had John Edwards. If Kucinich, Edwards, or Dodd get the nomination, they get my vote. If anyone else gets it who votes for this "compromise" it will be tough going for me to give my support to him/her.

1. Good question, where is Dean? The DNC are showing their true colors on this one.
BTW, don't forget Kucinich has been against the war from the beginning...when being against the war "wasn't cool".

4. This is the email address for Nancy Pelosi if you are out of district
I found this on her government website and you can email your thoughts to her in her capacity as Speaker of the House. I want her to know and be able to pass on to the Democratic Representatives how we are feeling out in the grass roots. I live in Texas and I have absolutely no Democratic representation in Washington DC. I may not live in her California district, but she is representing me in her capacity as Speaker and she heard exactly what I think of these spineless, cowardly, gutless wonders who lied to us once again. If this is the best they can do, then they can all expect that given the chance no incumbent will be in a safe seat. Anytime we can, we will back a new voice to run against these cowards and fund them with online fund drives.

7. Thanks, but I've already e-mailed her at that address, and
I called her San Francisco office and left a message telling her to lead or get out of the way.

5. Yeah I hate to bring you bad news
But Marshall will vote for this and more bad news but no one will challenge him. Right now Jim Marshall holds one of the most unsafe seats for a Democrat in Congress (thanks Georgia Legislature and your mid redistricting plan) you eith vote for Marshall or the Repuke but again I hate to bring it to you but he's smoked in 2008. I mean he barely hanged on in a low turnout election year, what do you think will happen in an presidental year when Republican actually will come out and vote?

10. That's so true
I feel the only good Democrats that are representing Georgia are John Lewis and Hank Johnson. The rest Barrow, Marshall etc. can all go to hell.

12. Well, it's sorta encouraging to know...
that when I send him an email on a major issue, there's actually a form response that explains why he disagrees with my sentiment. If the office bothered to make a form letter about it, I guess it means there's enough dissent for him to have to broadcast his pigheadedness to his constituents. In other words, he's listening - he just doesn't care.
