4. I enjoyed their Presidency.
Well, at least in '76. Wasn't on this mortal coil in '72.

11. Frontloading?
As in Edwards coming in second? In between both so-called frontrunners?

6. Al Gore is the only non-incumbent Democrat to win Iowa and be elected
President since 1972? And he didn't even get to serve as President?

Wow.

16. Funny? No, there's nothing funny about that.
Just sad and disastrous.

12. This is the tightest it has been in a long time.
Doesn't anyone else find that significant?

14. Yes, but this number is MORE significant
200,000.

That's how many Democrats came out to caucus for their candidates. The previous turnout record was about 125,000, which is still probably a higher number than the Republicans who turned out to caucus for theirs. Keep in mind that Dems had to stick around for hours, whereas Republicans could cast a single vote and leave.

The Democrats are mad and they are energized. This could - I hope - spell doom for the GOP.

17. Totally off-topic, but...
I notice that Henry "Scoop" Jackson not only lost to "None of the Above" twice, but he came in dead last behind five others who also lost to "None of the Above". No wonder the neocons switched to the Republican Party.

(For those unaware, Henry "Scoop" Jackson was one of the founding members of neoconservatism.)
