I just got back from Cirque Du Soleil in San Francisco (Kooza). It was absolutely magnificent. The story this time revolved around "the innocent" who experiences many things before finally, in the end, being able to fly his metaphorical kite. In act one he he keeps stumbling trying to keep his kite aloft, but never gives up hope as he faces his fears and the tricksters who get in his way.
So after the show at 7pm PST I'm driving across the bay bridge and turn on the radio to see how the Iowa caucus was going.
Hope won tonight.

...pragmatic truth, I don't rely on hope for anything.
