A question for all the candidates' supporters, if you know. |
|
I'm wondering who will be most likely to bring BushCo to justice. My biggest fear, with all this talk about "hope" and "change," is that the administration's crimes of the past seven years will be swept under the rug in the interests of healing the nation and moving forward. I think it would be a huge, huge mistake to let them get away with what they've done. I want investigations, I want indictments, I want incarcerations.
Anybody?

The rest are too afraid to impeach, indict, arrest or imprision.

6. Well, of course, Kucinich. |
|
I should have specified of the top three. Unfortunately, Kucinich doesn't stand much of a chance. Likewise with Gravel and Richardson.
I'm speaking of strictly Obama/Clinton/Edwards.

5. None of them will go directly after bushco. |
|
That will be low on the priority list for all of them. The best you can hope for is an agressive AG and Justice Department and a no pardons policy along with a willingness to see the Congress move forward with investigations. And that's where we should keep the pressure on: The Congress. Reality bites.

8. Reality bites -- you got that right! |

Republican presidents continue to fuck up and get away with it. I'm getting too old for this stuff.

7. Most likely none of them! I haven't even heard Kucinich say he would |
|
hold them to account! I also doubt that Conyers, Biden, Leahy or any of the other current Dems in Congress will bother to take the time and $$ to do so after Shrub is gone.

I'm not saying that other Dems running for President would necessarily suppress Justice Department efforts to investigate the previous Administration, but that'd be the way to bet.

13. Why ask at all? Obviously, the only one with the balls is Kucinich. |
|
And he hasn't gotten the support of any of the others running. Same thing with Health Care.
The others are all moral cowards.
Speaks volumes about their motivation, though. Those who would simply rather get elected than do the right thing shuld not be allowed to succeed.
