Mods, can we have a DU sitewide poll before Feb 5th? |
|
There's a 100 thousand+ people registered here..it would be tremendously enlightening to see how the numbers shake out amongst this diverse group of Dems/Progressives, etc.., and perhaps indicate how the 3 Dem candidates will do on Feb 5th.
Its hard to see which candidate has the majority of sentiment with so many dozens of pro/con threads on the boards.

1. There are polls that run pretty much every week - they rarely get more than 1,000 responses. |

Edwards gets about half of the total by himself, and he's usually way ahead of Dennis Kucinich, who is usually second. They're currently the two favorites here, by a healthy margin (at least according to the polls).
The total registrations number includes everyone who has ever been registered on DU over seven-plus years, including thousands who have left or been banned. The active number of DUers is a fraction of that total.

2. It might seem 'enlightening' .... |
|
but it usually deteriorates into petty bickering in short order ....
The fact that there are dozens of pro AND con threads should be an indication of what long poll threads degrade into: slugfests resembling beerhouse brawls .....
