Forgive my naivete, s.v.p., but
I don't understand all the vitriol around here.

I WILL vote for the Dem. ticket, regardless of who is on it. My fear is the underlying racism/sexism that pervades this country. I may not like one candidate or the other, but in the end, I will support him/her if they become the nominee.

Yes, I have certain issues that for me are non-negotiable, but all the D candidates generally support them. There is no candidate who totally believes what I believe, but that's nothing new.

I hope Huckaboo (not a typo) gets the GOP nod, since he would be the easiest for us to defeat.

I'm not sure what else to say, except that we are the DEMOCRATIC underground, and as members, should support our ultimate candidate. As I understand it, there is/was a secret area here, accessible only to long-standing members, where the debate about the best D candidate should take place. We're eating our own here, just as the freepers are doing "over there".

1. Its part of the process
No big revelations will be coming to change anything much. Most of the candidates have been scrutinized thoroughly. No amount of bitchin and moanin is gonna change that. Those that claim they cannot or will not vote for the nominee are not much of a factor.
They can sit home or write someone in, but it is not going to change anything.

2. A fairly large group of posters here are now working hard to return the...
discourse to rationality and reason. Quite a battle to do so. Lots of trolls and freepers have already been bounced. Thats what it takes sometimes.

Some posters are stuck on one candidate, some would not consider voting for this Dem candidate or that, but in the end, we have little choice if we are to return our country to a nation of laws.

Congrats to some of the best posts on this board in a few weeks. And this one counts highly as well.

3. We spend more time online these days. And thus we spend more
time talking about our preferred candidate that we would in the real world. So we bump up against one another and sometimes it gets outta hand.

I truly believe we will come together again...maybe not in the first few weeks after someone wins the nomination...but once the presidential race gets going and the race is against what the GOP has done and what it stands for...I believe we will be together again. Talking with one voice. And we will win.

4. There are many of us here that feel as you do
I suggest putting people who start divisive threads on ignore for a while. You will be amazed at the difference just a handful of ignores will make. The asshats are few...but the are busy and LOUD.
