about some 'supporters' slinging shit about every single democratic representative (or anyone else for that matter) who dares to endorse a candidate, other their own? 'You' would be far more credible if your shit wasn't flung so far and so wide. But I do not think that is any reflection on 'your' candidate. It just reveals who 'you' are.

49. And this Boomer wholeheartedly agrees with him. It is an observation |
|
that we need to stop living in the past and start addressing the issues of a new century and the generation to follow us. I don't know about you, but I'm sure as hell sick of squabbling over the Vietnam war. Damn it, I want to see those struggles of the last century actualized in this new century, and I can see that there are those who have a definite interest in maintaining divisions and hatred in this nation. Nothing like nourishing corruption, is there.

|
This is not about living in the past. It is about continuing to stand for what we believe in, do keep what was hard earned in the 60's and 70's from being further eroded. Did you read the other thread?
Do you think we can even get back to where we were pre-W without fights?
I prefer Edwards and have tried to remain positive about each of our candidates. A couple of weeks ago I started exploring why Obama did not resonate with me, why I found most of speeches rather boring in an "I've heard all this before" and "Where's the beef" way. As a result of my digging into this, I now have moved Obama to the very bottom of my list of Dem candidates. I am not happy about this result.

52. What do you think the fights of the last two elections were based on? |
|
Who was on the right side of the Vietnam war.
I think those groups who have been dumped on during the past few administrations (Clinton included because there were some policies that came out of those years that were detrimental) unite. I think the Clintons have purposefully and tactically introduced fights which did not have to be fought. I like both Obama and Edwards and they are my preferred ticket. A constitutional scholar and a lawyer who has fought in the trenches for consumers combined would be a formidable ticket. This nation has more than enough problems right now to focus on and the Boomers are starting to die out. Our generation has much to make right before it shuffles off this mortal coil. Repairing the damage done to the constitution and to restoring some balance between business and workers in this nation and developing healthy international relations are critical. Time is slipping away.. As far as the Clintons are concerned, I don't care to spend the next four or eight years with reporters frankly running around trying to trip Bill up (and you know they'll do it) or the RW trying to rehash every scandal they can dig up to reopen old wounds. It is not constructive.
