Hillary has the potential of being a good president (I say this as an Obama supporter) |
|
Let me start off by saying that I'm not thrilled with every aspect of how Hillary has run her campaign. I differ with several senate votes she has made as well.
But at this point, I'm confident with either as president.
Make no mistake - I prefer Obama because his presidency would be the kind of break from the status quo our nation needs on many fronts (mainly on international policy), but I'm at least now able to say with little doubt that Hillary has the potential of being a very good president. As my dad mentioned (and no one in my family wants Hillary to win the nomination), she was successful in NY because she worked extremely hard to understand all the issues. Also, unlike the current "leadership" she is willing to to take the advice of competent people - not hacks - before making decisions. One difference however, is that Obama made it clear that that would inevitably do that. I find the honesty among other things refreshing. All presidents need to take advice because they cannot possibly know everything about everything - but ultimately those decisions cannot be made on stubborn idealogical or theological viewpoints. It has to be based on some reason. That's what we have with Bush right now.
That's a sign of true leadership and I think both candidates have it.
I've come to the point, where I can support her if she's the nominee.
