CAN Edwards win in NV tomorrow?
I donated to Edwards today, and one of my best friends is a HUGE Edwards fan. While I myself support both him and Clinton.

My question is, CAN he win tomorrow? These polls are looking scary. 6%? 9%? IDK, but I remember he had 25% at one point.

Tell me? What do you think, is it possible? If so, what would have to happen?

1. I think he'll get more than that......
They have been showing him on the TeeVee quite a bit in the last few days. Those polls can't be that "fresh".

I believe that he will do well....not that I want him to. Shrug:

3. I would be surprised if he did not do better than those polls predict.
I thought he did very well in last Tuesday debate.
Of course I am hoping that Obama will do better than the polls predict as well.:eyes:

4. Maybe...
I'm betting he will win. He has the carpenters and the service workers unions behind him; with the teamsters undecided...

All is possible and I believe it can happen. Edwards 1, Clinton 2, and Obama 3 -- that's what I'm betting on.

5. Oh...Edwards will not beat Clinton's political machine....no way....
and if he does, he will be destroyed....

Just like the machine has been attempting to destroy Obama ever since Iowa.

6. Yes he can.
I don't know that he will, but I think the Clinton/Obama wars are wars of attrition and that Edwards will benefit. His message seems like it would be effective in Clark County, and I think they've had the opportunity to hear it there. And I wouldn't pay any attention to the polls. Not after NH.

21. yes
I agree, the Obama/Clinton wars are hurting both sides of the party. Though you are one of the few Obama supporters on here that I really respect and try and read their posts. You call it like you see it, even if we don't always agree on how things look, and that's cool by me. I wish everyone would try and play nicer.

11. Not a chance in Hell.
But watch me be wrong.

But if he comes in with less than 20%, he should swallow his pride and throw in the towel.

18. His state is North Carolina
And he's not even polling well there either.

Last I heard, he was getting his ass kicked in SC. Maybe that's why he skipping SC and moving on the Super Tuesday. Though he's probably pulling a 911iani if he's doing that.

22. hmm
I don't see him winning in SC. I really think Obama has that state well in hand. I think Obama will probably take NV as well. Maybe I am pessimistic. Not that I'm saying Obama deserves to do badly or anything.

15. Yes. Those polls are bull and one is from SC
ARG is a joke anyway. Zogby is credible but Edwards worst polling number was 8% in Nevada in 2006. It makes no sense that he is doing worse now than he did in 2006 and all of 2007, especially since the field has winnowed down. It also does not comport with the other polling in Nevada after NH which showed him strong. Nationally Edwards has remained stable or even rising as evidenced by the latest CNN poll. It makes no sense that Edwards tanked in Nevada overnight.

Can he win? Yes. Will he? Probably not. A strong finish will be good for him and show the media he is still alive. Even a solid third with something like 25% of the vote would be good for him at this point.

17. The Zogby post is absurd.
I don't believe for a second that his support is only 8%. Everything argues against it. And I agree that 25% of the vote would be enough for him to stay in it, but as you know, I believe that if Hillary has a solid win today, it's essentially over for Obama and Edwards.

23. really?
I don't know that it would be over, at least not for Obama. I think he will win SC hands down, and that will give him momentum going into Super Tuesday. I think it will probably be close until Feb 5th (maybe even after Feb 5th). I really have no idea who the nominee is going to be

Edwards, if he doesn't do well, could have his swan song in NV. I hope not though.
