24. Of course NOT! THESE PEOPLE have NO intention to...
and unfortunately, too many here will 1 - see nothing wrong in it, and 2 - continue to defend obama's decision to let him speak IN THE FIRST PLACE!

5. Because it's not a mistake...it's predmeditated
I'm tired of all these apologists making excuses for obvious attacks from the Clinton campaign against Obama. No one else's surrogates are acting this way except hers...and I wonder why? Surrogates don't simply run off at the mouth continuosly without the campaign heads knowing or wanting it.

7. Meanwhile, the shitheads in the Obama camp don't know how to apologize for their assinine remarks
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 12:08 PM by journalist3072
about Sen. Clinton.

Anyone recall David Axelrod apolgozing to Sen. Clinton, for in effect claiming she was responsible for Butto's death?

Anyone recall the Obama camp apologizing for asking someone from the Atlantic Monthly, when the media would start examing Bill Clinton's post-presidential sex life?

Anyone recall the Obama camp apologizing for calling Sen. Clinton "Sen. Puntjab."

Anyone recall the Obama camp apologizing for saying that "Sen. Clinton isn't a phony. She just plays one on t.v."

20. He also said that the only reason she cried was because
of her appearance (bad hair day). And, that she did not cry about Katrina - as if that sorry shithead would know.

He is a vile human being. And he is just the National Co-Chairman.

Imagine if anyone from one of other campaigns had made an equally racist remark. They would be sent to Siberia forever.

Misogyny - not a problem. Who cares about women.

I saw a remark on the news last night (think it was MSNBC) that by pushing the race issue Obama had forced AA women to choose between race and gender and they choose race. What do you think of that remark?

11. Zulu is in the throws of a major flummox..If Ronbama doesn't win...it's meltdown time..
and you can take three days off from DU until the wailing and the gnashing of teeth subside. As the backlash blaming Hillary for Ronbama's loss will be a tsunami of allegations.

19. You people love using the word "shame" as a projection ridding yourself of same..
for every post I've read using that word, it just points up the amount of mental damage already done to the owner using that word.

13. About some of those comments
The Hillaryworlders are pulling Axelrod's comment and insinuating that Hillary was responsible for Bhutto's death...well...out of their ass.

Here's what Axelrod said about Hillary's war vote:

“She was a strong supporter of the war in Iraq, which we would submit, was one of the reasons why we were diverted from Afghanistan, Pakistan and al-Qaeda, who may have been players in this event today, so that’s a judgment she’ll have to defend,” Axelrod said. “I know Woody Allen said that 80% of life is just showing up but there’s actually more to being proficient in foreign policy than just having been around for a long time. You also have to have good judgment. Obama was willing to split with the conventional wisdom on Iraq and many of these other issues and I think events have borne out his judgment.”

http://thepage.time.com/axelrod-on-bhutto-assassination/

Where did he say she was responsible for Bhutto's death? If you're doing 20 hits of Purple Microdot, you might come to that conclusion.

As for the (D) Punjab comment, here's a PDF of the flier:
http://graphics8.nytimes.com/packages/pdf/politics/memo1.pdf

In the memo, it illustrates the very comments from Hillary Clinton herself joking about how she could run as Senator of Punjab:

Sen. Clinton (D-Punjab) Joked That She Was Senator From The Punjab Region In India. “At the fundraiser hosted by Dr Rajwant Singh at his Potomac, Maryland, home, and which raised nearly $50,000 for her re-election campaign, Clinton began by joking that, ‘'I can certainly run for the Senate seat in Punjab and win easily,’ after being introduced by Singh as the Senator not only from New York but also Punjab.”

If you wonder why she was in India so much, kindly read this:

Clinton Says “Outsourcing Does Work Both Ways.” Crain’s New York Business wrote, “Mrs. Clinton may be motivated by a desire to uphold the free trade legacy of the Clinton years. <…> In an appearance on CNN’s Lou Dobbs Tonight, she boasted about attracting 10 jobs to New York from India-based Tata Consulting. When Mr. Dobbs inquired if she had understood the degree to which Tata, which helps U.S. companies outsource, was stealing American jobs, Mrs. Clinton rejoined: ‘They’ve actually brought jobs to Buffalo. Outsourcing does work both ways.’”

Of course, Hillary was lying about jobs coming to Buffalo, but I digress.

As for the alleged story of an Obama supporter talking to the Atlantic Monthly, no supporter was ever identified. Here's some commentary on that regarding Norman Hsu (remember him?) and the alleged accusation from the Hillaryworld camp:

Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt said "We had no knowledge of Norman Hsu’s past criminal activity, fugitive status or potential straw donor scheme until reading it in the newspaper." Regarding the unidentified aide wondering about Bill Clinton, LaBolt said, "In no way, shape, or form would anyone who would say such a thing be representing our campaign."

The point of this OP is that high-level Hillary surrogates put their foot in their mouth and thought they could get away with it. They had to eat crow instead.

15. It's like a dog named Triangulation chasing its tail
Around and around it goes... the template is like Hillary's IWR speech... Against attacking, for attacking, against attacking, for attacking, against attacking with a conclusion to attack.

I fully expect these apologetic surrogates to throw another grenade and have to land on it again.
