Where would this country be, if the disaster of 9/11 had not happened during Bush's reign?
No Patriot Act?
No war in Afghanistan?
No pre-emptive invasion and occupation of Iraq under false pretenses?
No spying on Americans?
No Gitmo?
No gigantic windfall for Halliburton and Blackwater mercenaries
No phony claims of 'executive privilege' based on national security?
No refusal to comply with subpoenas based on phony executive privilege?
No alienation of the rest of the world ("You're either with us or against us")?
No false declaration of "Mission Accomplished"?
No destruction of Habeas Corpus?
No gasoline at $100/barrel?
No depletion and exhaustion of our military?
No compliance with "alternative methods of investigation" or government-sponsored torture?

And on and on and on.

Although Giuliani seems to be the main claimant to having an umbilical connection to that horrible day, it's actually George Bush
whose life-course has most been changed because 9/11 happened on his watch, allowing him unprecedented freedom to
override every conventional tenet this country has held dear for over 200 years.

George Bush would never have been able to accomplish so many of his twisted Rovian dreams had the country not been cowed
and, literally, scared senseless by what occurred that beautiful September morning, 7 long years ago.

1. I think the criminal activities of the bu$h regime would have lead to impeachment
No they would not have been able to push through all those things you mentioned but there are many other criminal activities attributed to this regime and without 9/11 and the wars they enabled, people and Congress would put up with the bu$h regime actions.

I don't think they would be in office today, the Democrats would have most likely taken back the House and Senate in 2002 and bu$h and Cheney would have been out by 2004

But that is just my opinion.

2. it's funny, without the war, he might not have been- re-elected, but
he also wouldn't have a 35% approval rating.
