McCain won. Now we'll have either Clinton vs McCain or Obama vs McCain |
|
JUST GREAT. Their BEST warrior. I was sooo hoping for Clinton vs Romney Obama vs Romeny or Clinton vs Huck or Obama vs Huck.
We'll have a harder fight with Clinton vs McCain and Obama vs McCain

2. I was really pulling for the squirrel-fryin' fundie, Huckabee. |

Bummer. :-( Was hoping we were gonna go back up to the top of the GOP batting order.
Romney's still in this thing, though. Looks more and more like McCain and Romney are the last two standing (sorry, Rudy).

7. McCain is their strongest candidate |
|
only because he's 90% batshit crazy instead of 100%. He has some serious weaknesses: his age and health; the fact that the fundies still don't like him despite his recent pandering; and his support of the war, which even a lot of Republicans are starting to oppose. He's beatable, I think, but I agree that Hillary will have a more difficult battle.

His remaining glimmer of sanity is evidenced by the fact that he opposes torture, of which the other Republicans greatly approve. But now that I think of it, the Republican "base" loves torture, too; so that might ultimately sink McCain's nomination.

I know a few Democrats that would actually vote for McCain. and I know a few Republicans that will vote Democrat only if McCain is not their nominee.
I don't know anyone that would vote for Hillary. Even my business partner who has always loved Bill and Hillary, is not big on the idea of the whole Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton thing.
and everybody I know has said good things about Obama...
Not that my circle of friends/acquaintances reflect the electorate at large, of course, but to me, it's significant.
