Is Hillary the BEST We Can Hope For? Is "Clintonomics Better than Bush War-o-Nomics? " |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 07:01 PM by KoKo01
With the world jittery over Economics and Stock Markets, war and escalation of war, our crazy, out of control President... Maybe, folks are beginning to think is it better to Go with the Devil you know than the One you Don't? I'm referring to the way some of us here feel about about Hillary and why we have trouble voting for "Clintonomics" again. Was the DEVIL of CLINTONOMICS worse than the unknown of Obama and Edwards?
A JITTERY WORLD...await's America! Just like GG ditched Tony Blair......doesn't this REVOLUTION seem to signify that who AMERICA INAUGURATES...is how the WORLD ECONOM GOES?
How many more World Corporate Leaders "going down" does it TAKE for AMERICANS TO WAKE UP?

1. I'd feel a lot better about Senator Clinton if she didn't have Mark Penn so high up in her circle. |
|
Obviously I think Edwards is the no brainer candidate, particularly on the economy.
I honestly don't know who I'd rather see if he doesn't get it. I have serious problems with both Clinton and Obama.
I think Obama is a lightweight, with frighteningly unformed political principles.
Hillary is an extraordinarily shameless corporatist, and the Mark Penn thing is almost impossible for me to get past.
I don't want to vote for either one, but I will.

2. I remember steady economic growth, a declining national debt |
|
and federal budget surpluses as far as the eye could see. Yup, I'll take another 8 years of Clintonomics.

3. Best economy of any 8 year period |
|
ever. And yet you label it the "Devil of Clintonomics."
Just, how good would it have to be in order for it to be deemed good, or even fair?

8. BUT...Can Hillary Re-Create...the Economy of the 90's? |
|
She's hoping to do "Green Energy" and put thousands to work on this...but Orrin Hatch and others are STILL in the SENATE who will vote to overide whatever "not Blue Dogs or Dino's" we can hope to get in there in '08. And, sadly...I don't think that Hillary will have alot of "coat tails" to bring in REAL PROGRESSIVES...because she and the DLC threw the PROGRESSIVES "Under the Bus." So...while I might figure she's the "best we can do" ....this "Progressive Kucinich/Edwards person WILL NOT WORK FOR HER.
But maybe Hillary doesn't give a Fucking Fly whether I work for her or not...but...if she's what we have to cough down...then I have to accept her. I'll just work for my LOCAL PROGRESSIVE DEMS that are on the "ACT BLUE SITE!"
