I just watched KO with the clips of Clinton and Obama going after each other and... |
|
...they both at this point in time absolutely disgust me. They both acted like little children. The issue is NOT if one or both of them were saying things which were untrue...the issue is HOW they looked to the public in general.
I am wondering how many voters were turned off by the Democratic Party last night and switched channels BEFORE the clam and classy conduct of John Edwards brought things back to where they were suppose to be.
A word to both Hillary and Barack: FUCKING GROW UP, OK? You both made complete assholes of yourself in that give and take. Sheesh!
:argh:

interesting and informative.

...we have for taking back the WH come this November by the kind of conduct I saw coming from the two of them.
I wanted to smack both of the and then put them in Time Out on little chairs. The conduct was totally immature and disgusting.

7. I thought it was THE BEST DEBATE YET. |
|
People whine that the candidates don't express real differences and speak in thirty second sound bites, and then, when they do get a chance to go a bit afield , they're called CHILDREN?
Gimme a break. There's no satisfying, I guess. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
Politics is a contact sport. I look forward to more knock-down, drag out discussion of policy differences AND records. I'll be waiting for the LA debate with enthusiasm.
Nothing wrong with a lot of heat and light...unless you can't stand the heat, that is.

you just ignore it?
Both Edwards and Clinton say that Obama leaves people uninsured. He thinks his plan offers universal coverage. Just how are the three of them supposed to get their opinions across without disagreeing?

26. Let's try this again: |
|
Of course you do not ignore it. HOWEVER, acting like a child about it and throwing a temper tantrum really is NOT the way to respond either.
Am I being clear enough???
How about an elegant, clam, well-reasoned voice, reciting FACTS???? Maybe that would be the better way to deal with a distortion of one's record??? And then move quickly on to ISSUES that are important.

28. When a man cannot respond without getting "testy" it speaks to his |
|
grace, or LACK of same, under pressure.
It's instructive, if uncomfortable for you.
You might want to wait and read the transcripts later for the LA debate if these contests disturb you. I think it's going to get more interesting, not less, next time round.

27. Well, nuff for YOU. Not for people who enjoy the freewheeling nature of |
|
a debate that was the LEAST scripted to date. I am enthused about the next on in LA, and I hope it's TWICE as freewheeling as this last one was.
I suspect the people who thought the debate was "terrible" and "undignified" and "childish" are the ones who are supporters of the man who LOST the debate. And we know that man wasn't John Edwards. He took home the crown.

too much noise in the media and whispering snippets through campaign "staff".
They needed to air it out and they did and obviously CNN was a party to it or they would have stepped in and enforced the time limits.

wouldn't work for the repubs. Admiration for Reagan would be a good point. They all shop at Walmart, so no problem there.
But, I would hope that anything and everything detrimental comes out now. It would be much better than to be surprised by the repubs.

It was all out no holds barred knockdown fight. Usually i doze off during the debates. Not yesterday!
If they don't bring all the shit out into open now, the repugs surely will, so I rather have it vetted before nomnation.
That was our problem with Kerry. He never was vetted. I don't even remember Kerry and Dean debating the hell out of each other.
