Thank you Hillary and Obama for resurrecting a race/gender war
that was long ago put to rest. I can't believe any candidates who really care about this country would bring this bogus (for the most part among anyone with over a high school education) crap to rest.

And, while you two drive each other into the ground, might I suggest you take a breathe to see how much the rest of the country is suffering/fearful. John Edwards has.

4. ROTFLMAO -- Both have diminished this race to a gender/black-everything but real people thing
Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 01:15 AM by sjdnb
Take your best shot about me being a racist --- but, be prepared for the response. Our family includes whites/hispanics/blacks/gays - and, we love all of them - not because of their color/ethnicity/sexuality -- but, because of who they are -- really nice/great people.

But, you seem to be all about playing political games to avoid answering the real questions with detailed answers, while questioning others morality/sense of justice.

Good luck with that. Some of us have evolved beyond automatically folding every time some dipshit throws a 'racist' tag at us.

9. More "why, because he's black" crap
being spewed by you throughout the discussion. If you have something of substance to contribute, do so, if not -- don't throw around the 'black/hispanic/gay' tags to get you noticed .... it just makes you look like a user/loser.

12. Oh, so you are actually going to intellectually address my
original post about how both Obama and Hillary have turned this primary into a race/gender war while avoiding addressing any substinative issue in detail?

10. It has been in my family - and we're a very diverse bunch
The only thing we've been pissed off by is the Hillary/Obama celebrity death-match thing while in the meantime no one seeming to give a sh*t about the fact that normal folk are struggling - except Edwards - who many seem to toss aside just cuz he's white. What a bunch of crap.

3. It was the Clintons who played the race and gender card. The Clintons don't care about
this country. It's all about them.

6. Then why did Michelle Obama...
twist Bill Clinton's fairy tale comment (about Obama's Iraq war stance) and portray it as though Bill was referring to the idea of a black President as a fairy tale? It couldn't have been for political gain with African-American voters, could it? No, no, no, the Obama camp is above all that and after all it's not like Obama benefited from it (oh wait, he did in SC). Come on, most of the Rethug candidates wouldn't even say that the idea of a black President is a fairy tale but I'm expected to believe that Bill Clinton of all people would?!?

7. Wrong: Hillary said a fact about the Civil Rights act and LBJ.
Bill said Barack's position on the war was a fairy tale.

The media spun it into a race issue.

Now, who has started a race and gender war? I haven't seen a race and gender war in the campaign. I see a lot of spin from the media and candidates fighting back. (I also saw Barack allowing it to happen because it suited him politically.)

14. Get it straight. The Clinton cynically started it. Obama has NOTHING
to gain by a race or gender war. Get it?

16. Not really the candidates
but the M$M who have made race and gender an issue for months and months. Who asks the question over and over and over again is America read for a black President - is America ready for a woman President. Also the race/gender war has SO NOT been put to rest long ago....what planet are you living on....I'm on planet Florida and I can tell you its more than alive here.....

18. Give a nod to a lot of activists posting at places like DU while you are at it
Who eagerly seize upon any club lying around that can be swung to hurt an opponent, no matter what wounds it pours a ton of salt into.
