5. What race thing? Race is part of the demographics on any list of registered voters.... |
|
....in any state election office.
Those numbers are vital in determining any voter suppression among certain groups as well as voter turnout data.

It's fact. This contest between Clinton and Obama is now turning on race. Every poll confirms this. And trying to ignore this fact won't make it go away.
Rather, we should acknowledge it and work to change it. We need to try to unite all factions of the Democratic Party so that we can win in November. But in order to do that we have to face this issue head on. We need to communicate to all segments of the Democratic coalition that it is in their best interest to come together. Otherwise, the Rethugs will exploit this in an attempt to divide us so they can hold on to power. We can't let that happen.

7. Obama directly and positively accents the pride aspect of a Black American |
|

running for President. He simply does it respectfully while emphasizing that it represents an historic positive achievement for all Americans that this day has come. You don't think Oprah hasn't evoked that also? Do you think it is just a coincidence that Obama did a Gospel music tour and that Gospel music is roots African American?
And you can be damn sure that Obama's supporters and surragates in places like South Carolina are pounding on the fact that Blacks need to step up now and support one of their own for President. Joseph Lowery is just one example that quickly leaps to mind. All of that to me is fair for any of the people involved to do. But claiming that Hillary is the one who is painting Obama as the "black" candidate is just plain blind.

8. Except it was Obama's minions that brought the subject to light |
|
by trying to make hay out of innocuous MLK LBJ remarks
Now they will reap what they sowed.
C'est la vie !

3. Time to look at demographics across the country to anticipate the winner. |
|
Plus, I'm wondering if Rasmussen included Hispanics in the "white" category. If not, she's probably got an even bigger lead.

6. and what about the other 13%? |
|
With Edwards at 15% that still leaves 13% who apparently cannot make up their minds. If they broke for Obama, he would be at 43%.

12. Well, it's kind of obvious by the report that race is playing a major role |

Are we all just supposed to ignore the Elephant in the room? Face it race is a BIG factor and it will become more of one after SC.

13. Race reality.......in SC.... |
|
SC demographics Total registered voters in SC: 2,246,242
Total voted in Repub primary: 442,789
That leaves: 1,803,453
Of that # non-white voters: 629,000
That leaves total white voters 1,174,353
Make your own conclusions. I say turnout in both demographics will be critical in SC, and probably everywhere else, based on the sex and race of the two principals.

21. Every poll shows this. CNN shows Obama is tied with Edwards among whites and Hispanics |
|
It is him having three fifths of black support that of is keeping him within shouting distance of Hillary in the national polls. What is he going to do on Super Tuesday in states without a substantial black population?
