2. Combination of the first three |
|
The media will ignore Edwards' second place and concentrate on Obama and Clinton.

3. It would mean Edwards is starting to get noticed and eventually |
|

4. Slightly damages Clinton. Edwards has a bit more life in him, but still |

won't win any states; he at least avoids being totally cast aside. Super Tuesday still breaks Clinton; the question is whether it breaks Clinton enough for her to effectively secure the nomination.

5. I voted my hopes -- Edwards Resurrection -- but... |
|
your first three choices will all be the story, depending on who the storyteller is.
An interesting sideshow is the effect of the writers strike on the MSM. I think a secondary impact is that the networks and cable news shows are seeing better ratings than in past years because TV stinks right now. Both races are driving ratings. And the executives want that to continue.
Edwards is actually getting some air time now due to this phenomenon. The greedy bastards would rather have better ratings through continued uncertainty and exciting Democratic Party debates than kill his candidacy.
What I want to know is what happens if Edwards shocks the world and wins South Carolina?!

7. It would cause more voters to look at Edwards and then the media will |
|
also debate why South Carolina turned on the Clinton's and rightfully so because they interjected race into the campaign. It would also shake up things in upcoming Super Tuesday races.
