Edwards supporters talk about what he will do
Other candidates supporters don't seem to be focused on what their candidate will do for the country. And when you dig into it, it doesn't seem much different that the republicans.

1. For one thing he will start with a different premise by ackbnowledging the truth
While the other candidates (except Kucinich) have studiously avoided the core issue of concentration of Wealth and Power, Edwards has based his campaign on that.

Right there, that is a marked change from the status quo. And it means that he will start any negotiations, bargaining etc. from the standpoint of what is best form the majority -- NOT how can we "convince" Big Money to be a little bit nicer.

As for specific details on policies, if you are honestly interested, take a look at his issues pages on his website.

2. John will take care of our veterans.
He will get them out from sleeping under bridges at night. Make sure they get mental evaluations and psychiatric help if they need it. Ensure they get the health care they need and deserve.

He will provide job training and placement programs designed to specifically get them back on their feet again so they can be productive and have a fair chance at success.

It's a disgrace that this country allows our brave men and women, who served when needed, be subjected to second rate (or no) health care, and no support or recognition for their service once they've done their time. And we wonder why people aren't standing in line to sign up for service? Who in their right mind would, given the risk you take, and knowing you're going to be tossed aside when you've done your duty.

I find this one of the most intolerable things about Bushco. They keep telling us to support the troops, yet they are doing nothing to support them. All they are doing is supporting Halliburton and Blackwater.

It's time our veterans got the respect and support they deserve from the country they gave all for.
