you're probably a Hillary Clinton supporter who is in denial to the fact that a LOT of LIFELONG DEMOCRATS-like me, and my cousin have a strong dislike for your candidate and the Rovian tactics that are being employed in this quest for power by the Clintons-note the plural..

it was a statement of truth-deny it all you want Clinton supporters but it is what it is-oh yea, truth isn't too important to this quest for power by the Clintons...I used to be a big Bill and Hillary Clinton fan-voted for him twice and defended HRC against the likes of Rush Limbaugh-right up until the moment she threw John Kerry under the bus

13. "Deny all you want Clinton supporters" |
|
Yes, this is the accusation I get every time, though I've made it clear on many threads that I am not a Clinton supporter. (Don't worry; I get the same accusations in reverse from Clinton supporters regarding Obama.)
Democrats who won't vote for the nominee, regardless of who that ends up being, are throwing the entire country under the bus, and saying that they won't during the primaries is nothing less than a threat: vote my way or I'll vote Republican. Really? Have a good time with that.

I even outed Rush Limbaugh here on DU as a junkie a few years ago BEFORE the story broke nationally. This was after getting finally fed up with his lies and nasty talk about HRC on a daily basis...

if Hillary is the nominee.
This is an African American woman who has voted Democrat all her life. She's holding out for Michael Bloomberg.

12. Problem is that this phenomenon |
|
has existed since there was a whiff of Hillary running for president in the air, and the rest of the Democratic leadership chose to ignore the massive outcry, by other Democrats, against her nomination.
Instead of putting forth the most viable candidacy, we play power games.

18. Many people still see McCain as a moderate and a maverick |
|
I know this means they have likely not looked in depth as he is pretty conservative on many issues and says we could be in Iraq for 100 years!
This comes from decades of great press. Where every transgression is quickly forgiven and he is awarded accolades, like being a straight talker, which causes him to be seen as honest and non-corrupt. The fact that the far right attacks him helps him. In a general election the fact that he can be likable and can point to McCain/Feingold, his rational work on immigration, and the fact that he has the strongest RECORD on the environment of everyone running - makes him look like he is not so bad.
I have heard many people say the same thing about McCain, without mentioning the Democratic candidates. Few realize that McCain had he won in 2000, might have been every bit as eager to go to war as Bush.

It's not as uncommon as you might think.
This sentiment seems particularly strong in the Midwest.
Also interesting is that I know several lifelong Republicans who say they would vote for Obama.
It's going to be an odd election, that's for sure.
