Craig Crawford on MSNBC: media has mental illness about the Clintons. |
|
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 09:10 AM by chimpymustgo
They always believe the worse - would believe the town drunk if he said Clinton had poisoned the water in Obama districts. Says the media responsible for the injection of race - not Clinton. I think he's right.

|
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 09:19 AM by Armstead
We have a former president who was getting BJ's while on the phone in his office. Then, when caught, lied about it and denied it in no uncertain terms. Then by continuing that false denial, allowed the GOP to paralyze the nation for a year.
Setting aside all of their other personal and political issues and quirks, that episode alone is enough to induce weird perspective among close observers.

16. Crawford is a Clinton hack. The Clintons injected race, not |
|
the media. The Clintons are trying to use the publics distrust of the media to lay the blame at their doorstep. I do think though that the media needs to STOP taking the Clinton bait. For example:
Clinton saying that the Obama campaign was feeding the media the race issue and it was the poor people of South Carolina who would suffer. Then he laughs as he goes out the door. Clinton was trying to paint Obama as that trouble making black who is stirring up the racial divide in S.C.
But wait a minute, I shouldn't even take notice of what Clinton is doing, or GASP keep a list, because that would mean I am playing the race card.

Before Iowa I was pretty solidly on the fence about all three candidates, although favoring Edwards. The viciousness of the media's attacks on Hillary, and the nastiness toward her, when she was temporarily down, by Obama and Edwards put me in Hillary's camp.
I think there are a lot of people like me across the country. Right now everybody is focusing on the SC polls, but I suspect the same phenomenon is happening elsewhere.

that is surely and unbiased source.
The media is a right-wing propaganda machine who continues to unfairly treat HIllary Clinton as they have for a decade. I don't need to read any biased editorials to determine that. I lived with it.
Just as I lived with the hype of Clinton showing emotion. Not ONCE was there a story on Mitt who cried THREE TIMES that week on camera.
The media is not a good sourse for information. You like it now, because the propagnda favors your candidate.
There was a time when we wanted the democrats to stand up to the media and call them on their bias. I guess you all are sitting silent now--well don't say I did not warn you.

the complete evasion of Crawford's questions. There can be no logical discussion on the subject with the likes of ScarbOOrough and co. Not only would it require jeopardizing their bread and butter, but would also require connecting to reality, which I don't see happening any time soon. As I've said in another thread, the irony of having Scarborouhg, Matthews, and Twit Tucker, as the voices for a large segment of the Democratic Party, is like living in an alternate reality. I suppose people believe, that when the GE is over, they will be able to disassociate themselves from said pundits with an insult or two, and everyone else will forget that these same fools were their voices for an extended period of time. Thanks. quickesst
ON EDIT: They are scared shitless of Clinton, and contrary to naive belief, and as evidenced, she is not the candidate they want to face. If you are actually listening to Scarborough and co., the desparation to push Obama as the candidate is overwhelming. That would be ok, unless you consider the source(s).

is breathtaking. I am unbelievably disgusted at what is happening. It was bad in 2000 and 2004, but it seems MSM at least tried to put a veneer of fairness in their spin. NOT SO NOW. There is NO doubt that the media powers that be are out to destroy the Clintons, by whatever means necessary.
The irony is that their tactics are backfiring. Because of Scarborough and co.'s constant blathering about "the race card" they are painting Obama, THEMSELVES, as only an AA candidate. They are also building a wealth of sympathy for Hillary, who is clearly being victimized by their slimes and lies.

disgusted by the media. Every channel I watch has only negative reporting about Clinton "She will destroy the democratic party, she is dividing the party along racial lines (said before they interview an african american Obama supporter and ask non-stop pointed questions about race and this being a great moment for african americans to vote for a fellow african american), how Clinton isn't really a feminist because she is leaning on her husband...blah, blah blah.
As I watch the coverage, the only *news* I see is the media trying to tell everyone to vote for Obama and not vote for Clinton. That is wrong...and I would feel like this no matter who they were telling us to vote for. Where is the impartial, unbiased reporting?
