Edwards at 1% among blacks
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 07:12 PM by jackson_dem
:wtf:

He has a near perfect (97%) lifetime NAACP rating. He won the black vote in South Carolina in 2004.

3. Why did they do so much better than him?
One is at 81%, the other close to 20%.

4. I wonder if that shows the racial divide in the south

I wonder if the reason he won so few black votes is that he's a white southerner, and white southerners of course have a history of racism. In other words, maybe the idea of voting for a white southerner is unappealing. (I certainly don't think Edwards is a bigot.)

5. He won the black vote here four years ago

I understand the dynamics of Obama being "historic" but Edwards going from winning with nearly two fifths of the black vote to 1 fucking percent is inexplicable.

6. Not to mention that inspirational letter from MLK III...
John was slated to speak at the NAACP on MLK Day until the Obama and Clinton campaigns threw a shitfit. The MSM didn't cover any of that, did they?

1% is an insulting percentage. I don't buy it for a moment.
