impressive win in South Carolina's Democratic primary.

But wait.

Besides the impressive arithmetic of his win, he would appear to be triumphant in a state that in another era of our country's history fired on Fort Sumpter and returned many times to the U.S. Senate one Strom Thurmond.

I would like to see the columnists in the nation's newspapers spend some time on that aspect of this victory.

8. Hi, Katzenkavalier. I'd type this reply to you faster, but all my fingers are
crossed for a silver medal tonight.

Your man won big in a new era of the American South.

Shame on the MSM if they don't write this up in the next day or two.

For your graciousness, and especially for pointing out the real historic nature of this particular victory.

Ol' Strom must be doing the underground horizontal gyroscopic thing even as we type.

And that is as it should be, imho.

Oh,and, um, er...

W00T!!

(sorry, couldn't help myself... *g*)

6. This is a very new South Carolina and a big win for Senator Obama.
Good point on Thurmond -- as egregious a bones-and-blood bigot as ever walked the marshland.

I hope when the demographics are in, the story is one of hope like Old Crusoe said and not pass it off on other demographics.
