Candidates Behaving Badly-
Just when I think this world could get no sillier, there’s handshake-gate. What is wrong with you people? Why must you force me to post the same post, again and again, with just a few words changed around?

He was an ass, and not very diplomatic. Her, and her husband have been playing that special brand of Clinton politics that, let’s face it, could drive any mere mortal nuts. But what is he going to do when he’s dealing with Vladimir Putin or Pervez Musharraf and they say things about him, or our country that he doesn’t like? He can’t refuse to shake their hands, he can’t turn his back, and not speak to them. I guess he only plans on doing the ol’ reach across for repuglickins.

And what about Hillary? She and her husband, remember, he used to be a man of some respect, at least to Democrats and the rest of the world, have shown an amazing ability to twist facts and spin the story so much, that it’s not hard to imagine people getting fed up. They lie about what you say, they lie about what you do, and then it works out perfectly for them when it pisses you off. Think about it people. How many times in your life has someone pushed you to the edge until you lose your temper? Then of course, you know what happens, you do something stupid like refuse to shake a hand.

Wake up! You’re watching a soap opera! The world is turning all around us, and no one is taking notice because we find ourselves stuck in great political theater that has everything to do with theater, and sad little to do with the politics of the people. And here we go again. As Hillary & Obama Turn. One Life to Obama. All My Hillarys.

The MSM jumps right on it, and you guys ride along like kids who are promised free ice cream on the crazy train to stupidland.

47 million Americans, no health insurance.
37 million Americans living in poverty.
200,000 homeless vets.
The worst economy we’ve seen since the last Bush was leaving office.
Foreclosure rates at a record high.
The rich get richer, the poor get poorer.

But who cares about that? Did you hear? Obama wouldn’t shake Hillarys hand. Anyone that wants to jump on this band wagon, and ride it to it’s end, is just plain sick, sad, and stupid.

Don’t kick this, don’t rec this, just grow the fuck up.

2. Hit the nail on the head
the point of the MSM is to distract us and make us forget the important issues facing us. I believe if a world wide tsunami were about to hit every coastline, the MSM would be concentrating on a candidate raising an eyebrow at a rally.

5. But you see, it shows he's very arrogant, and can't live up to his claim of being a uniter
Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 12:01 PM by Levgreee
so apparently it is very important and basically disqualifies his message of unity, and ability as a politician/president.

Therefore, we need many, many, many, threads on this baring of Obama's true character.

8. I don't know if you meant to put a sarcasim thingy by your post, but...
we don't need any more of the stupid posts running candidates down. Those posts are not going to change how anyone votes here at DU, so why the hell do we need them?

10. No, I disagree-
This whole story shows how easy it is for us, as the voting public, to be led around be the nose.

I thought it was good times last night, because of how ridiculous it was. It got the most threads out of ANYTHING this whole primary.

What does it do? Watching movies and eating popcorn is fun, but what does it do for the People? Sorry, I'm just tired of all of this crap.

14. Well, One night of inanity is okay.
Hopefully this fiasco doesn't keep going on on these boards, if it is still being talked about tonight, that would be very troubling.

there were 50 people carrying it, so might as well hop in on the insanity.

But, I agree, it is part of a larger trend which is very disturbing.

11. Stop pointing fingers!
It's all of us. Don't you see? They will keep feeding us shit, as long as we keep eating it. Demand more form your news givers, demand more from you fellow citizens, and most important, demand more from your Representatives.

17. AMEN!
We are only allowed to see & react to what the MSM wants us to see & react to!
So WHY does the right wing essentially support Clinton & Obama even while calling attention to their flaws? My guess is that they think they can beat either one, or if they don't, either one will work with them instead of vigorously opposing them.
It's sickening!

No it doesn't need to be an issue. Sadly it has become about the only issue some here at DU care about.
