1. The statement was made by one member of NOW. It didn't come from the top so I doubt it's |
|
representative of the whole organization. In fact, I think the head of NOW rebuked the woman who wrote it.

5. I reject that type of thinking as well and the way gender is being used |

by Hillary and some of her supporters. I am a white woman married to a black man and have children from a previous marriage to a ME man. I support Obama because I see the potential this man has to represent all of us not just some of us
Women fought to be treated as equals under the law so Hillary and her surrogates can play girl tricks? I don't think so. As a woman, I'm disgusted that this woman who claims to be so tough appears to crumple into the best of "distressed damsel" affectations when the going gets a little rough. Over the years, we've dealt with Hillary the victim wife. Remember that stupid Rick Lazio she ran against who was perceived of as yet another of her victimizer when his biggest fault was that he was just another fool conservative trying to score points with his "base," whoever they were. Now we have been treated to Hillary in tears. Hillary drama over whether or not she was greeted.
Well, damn it, when was the last time you cried during a job interview, ladies? Did you get that job?
I'm disgusted by all this handwringing and gasping and vapors around here. Suck it up! I'm particularly offended by the women who are engaging in this type of cattiness. And it is just that. High school girl backbiting about who dissed whom. It stinks to high heaven that after all the fights for equality in employment and education, voting rights, and reproductive rights the woman candidate and her supporters pull this manipulative Victorian stuff.
Now I've purposefully stayed away from these threads today. However, I felt this needed to be said at some point and this is as good a point as any. I've never claimed to be a Hillary supporter. I've always been straight forward with my reasons for not supporting her. However, I am a woman, and this claptrap reflects badly upon us all.
