0 delegates for Hillary. 0 delegates for Obama. Big joke on Fox news.

Here is another laugher: 0 electoral votes for Clinton/Obama in November! Laugh at that, MFrs !

1. I telephoned the DNC today. the only way the delegates get seated
is if the nominee elects to seat them AFTER he/she wins the nomination.

Meaning that no matter what, neither Michigan or Florida votes count toward the nomination.

And that is exactly what Hillary was saying when she made her statement.

19. Is that messed up, or WHAT?
Let's see... 2008... marking this down as the year our votes came to a screeching meaningless, paperless HALT in what we thought was a democratic republic.

27. I have always been proud that Gore clearly won the popular vote in 2000
Clinton clearly won the popular vote in Florida, with millions of Democrats voting, even if she doesn't get Florida's "electoral votes". She can and should be proud of that.

8. Ah well, Terry McAuliffe pushed this rule when he was head of the DNC and we've had
it all this time. I wonder why anyone would get agitated over something they accepted year after year?

Or is this a concocted controversy ginned up to cause a PERCEPTION that Dean is the villain and needs to be pushed out?

That's what it smells like to me.

After all, McAuliffe was adamant about this rule in 2003-4, wasn't he?

35. Well, I'll be damned:
The Democratic National Committee (DNC), which has consistently defended that status for both states, has fought against the DC primary ever since Washington activists hatched the idea, in January, as a way to draw attention to the district’s lack of congressional representation. The DNC has pressured candidates to boycott the primary, and does not list it on its schedule of nominating events. A Washington Post editorial this month accused the DNC of "sabotaging" the primary by discouraging candidates from campaigning.

All in 2004, when Hillary's man Terry McAuliffe was heading the DNC.

Thanks for the link.

13. What bothers me is so called Democrats defending this repugnant vote suppression...
....by the Democratic Party - the votings rights champion of American voting rights history. I could understand Republicans doing this to Democrats, but Democrats trashing their own voters?

What a fucking disgrace.

17. If the Dems do decide to seat Florida's delegates though there should be a re-vote
A lot of people who might have voted today didn't because they couldn't (some precincts didn't have Democratic ballots) or didn't think it mattered. Therefore there should be a re-vote if it is decided Florida's delegates can vote at the convention.

18. this is not voter suppression. educate yourself.
And was the voter turnout big today? Yes? Then what's the problem? What reason do you have to believe that voters won't turn out in November to vote for the dem?

You're just upset because you're a Hill supporter and she doesn't get any delegates tonight.

26. Not counting votes cast by voters is voter suppression no matter how you spell it -
- and whatever you call it, it smells and it is Democrats doing this to Democrats - which Democrats here and elsewhere won't admit.

Rules, you say! Bullshit! Change the rules. Now!

2 million Democrats voted. 2 million votes don't count!

been agreeing to it every election since.

So....what did Terry McAuliffe tell you when you complained?

23. I am not a so-called Democrat, thank you.
and the state party fucked us.

They thought they could get away with it. The DNC gave them options. They played the "dad won't really punish me" stubborn, prideful, bullshit card.

And now we are in a time out for this primary.

boo fucking hoo.

I will survive.

Florida Democrats will survive. Lesson learned. Follow the rules. Just like in real-life.

It isn't the FDP it's the autocratic tyrannical DNC - the British Parliament - and there will be a fight because Democrats' voting rights have been abridged, in fact denied.

I am a retired voting rights activist and I can tell voting rights denial when I smell it.

Flor and Mich were used as pawns. I can here it now.. who's name was only on the ballet in Mich.. oh thats right.. Hillary.. how convenient. Oh and Florida you say?... All the candidates agreed not to campaign there.. except for Hillary who broke her promise.. and now it's going to get counted you say??

It may be a lie, and in the end it won't matter one bit. Perception is king in this land. People are going to say what I wrote is crap, and they'd be right. But it won't stop Hillary from being smeared in the GE. She already has the biggest handicap going for the Dem's.. we don't need another.
