Suddenly, the debate tomorrow will be one on one, Hillary vs Obama.
I hate to see Edwards drop out, and condolences to Edwards supporters here.

But I just realized what this means for the debate tomorrow, suddenly, it will be Hillary vs Obama.

Wonder if one is anxious, and one is ready to rumble...

1. I just hope...
They actually debate policy instead of arguing like two children.

8. It makes me uncomfortable too,
I don't think they're going to get personal this time because it's not helping either of them.

4. If you can even call it a "debate"
Clinton and Obama are very alike on the issues. The only difference between them is style and experience. The scope of the debate has been effectively narrowed to almost nil.

5. And will be the last debate
This should be good. Hillary will do very well. We might have a "moment" when or if Obama gets upset and tries to manhandle Hillary, and it would sink Obama campaign.

23. Hillary is a much better debater, but she has to be a little careful, because
expectations for her performance are high. It is similar to the expectations of Gore and Kerry against Bush who is a pathetic debater. If the poorer debater survives the night without tripping over the podium, people give him some credit.

It will be interesting to see if there is a "invading her space" or "making her cry" moment. Obama has to be prepared for a tough debate with Hillary (she is a tough effective debater), but he has to be careful not be too "tough".

It probably is not in either's interest to be overly negative, but when things get heated, it will could get quite interesting.

15. What i want to see is if Obama can handle Hillary 1 on 1
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 10:39 AM by sunonmars
thats the big test. If he can't, he better forget it.

I honestly don't think Obama wants a 1 on 1 with Hillary, he's not a debater, theres a great chance, she'll eat him for dinner tomorrow night.

17. It will be interesting to see how Obama will do without his best friends help against Hillary.
I have already heard Rowland (CNN) hyping this debate as going to be the most watched one.

18. Edwards didn't help him in the last debate
That was just Clinton spin to pretend she was being ganged up on by the 2 men. The truth is that Edwards was just calling it like he saw it. He called out Hillary when she was wrong and then he called out Obama when he was wrong.

24. It'll be interesting without the 'buffer' of John Edwards.
They'll have to be quicker on their feet and get down to the nitty gritty of fighting for the Presidency, letting us see just what they're made of.

I hope they're both ready, able and willing to do just that and I hope in the end I feel proud of both candidates.
