My prediction re: Romney, McCain, Clinton, Obama in Nov 08: |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 10:57 AM by thereismore
And then there were four: Romney, McCain, Clinton, Obama.
Considering the stranglehold that corporations have on the GOP, plus the fact that McCain is seen as a RINO by repigs, I'd say that Romney will be their nominee. Religion notwithstanding, he is the money candidate. And he has stiff hair like St. Ronald.
Considering further that the democratic party is also in a corporate stranglehold, but has the uncontrollable element of youthful excitement - you might call it hope - that factor X that defies enumeration in dollars and cents, I'd say our nominee will be Obama.
Obama wins in November.
There, I predicted it.

2. I'd say either one will beat Romney, no doubt, but McCain as well, unless he tones down the war talk |

4. At this point, both Romney and Obama are the likely also-rans. |
|
So, that's quite a prediction you've got there! :)
I think it'll be McCain vs. Obama -- not necessarily because of youthful enthusiasm, but because many of the Feb. 5 states haven't even been seriously polled in months, and in that time, support for Obama has grown by quite a bit.
In any case, if I'm right and it's McCain v. Obama, Obama will wipe the floor with McCain.

Romney or McCain is not too clear yet due to the Huckleaberry factor.
Once Huck is done then Romney would have the upper hand. The longer he stays in helps McCain.
I always said it would be Romney and I still think thats what will happen in the end.
Hillary will be the Dem nominee.
Hillary will defeat Romney as the country will have tired of the Republican talking points and will give the problems of the economy to the Democrats.

6. It Will Come Down To The Vote In Florida..... |
|
on election night - the election will be called for Romney and then shortly afterwards the networks will have to rescind this call and say it is too close to call. The votes in Florida will be contested. Romney wins the popular vote nationwide - cause we know that Hillary is not that popular. But Hillary will claim to win the electoral vote - partly because she snatched victory from the Florida primary - back in the days she was running against Obama.
This will go to the SCOTUS. Romney will not contest and demand a recount - even though the voting machines will be called into question in Palm Beach & Dade counties. People from HRC's campaign - masquerading as angry voters will storm the election offices in those counties. We'll find out they were HRC operatives a year or two later - when somebody on the internet will do the investigating.
Hillary will be coronated as the first women president of the U.S.
She will consider that she has the clear mandate(womandate) to reign over the land.
GHWB 4years + WJC 8years + GWB 8years + HRC 4 and maybe 8 years (when the deciding factor will be in Ohio)
Long may they reign.
Oh! - Look! - Over the horizon! Is that Jeb? And who is that behind him - Chelsea?
