A minor point, and I'm just being hopeful...but JE "SUSPENDED" his campaign. |
|
Didja catch that? Didja? He didn't said he quit, didn't say he was out. And he didn't give his backing to Obama or Clinton, so, like....
Uh...okay, okay..."always look on the bright side," Momma always said.
But seriously...his name will still be on all those ballots. Hell, DK's and Gravel's were still on my absentee ballot yesterday. Vote for him anyway, I say.

allows him to continue to pay campaign workers, until they get their next job. That's why he is using that specific term.

3. He is using a loophole in the public financing laws to retain control of the |

disbursement of the money he has collected for campaigning.

Is he going to use this money to pay for his house? Just being a jerk here myself. Truly tho, how does this benefit Edwards? The other candidates have gathered about 100 million, Edwards about 30 million?? What's your point?

15. My understanding is that campaign staff will remain on salary until they find work. |
|
That's why he suspended, rather than withdrew.

16. Thanks, that sound about right or possibly "fair"? |
|
Certainly not a devious tactic on Edwards part. Now I get to vote for him, great.

8. That's probably nothing. |
|
The campaign workers probably didn't have website updates as their highest priority right now. They're busy drinking and crying.

11. It relates both to campaign finance law and DNC delegate selection rules |
|
It is what is always done. Both Dean and Edwards "suspended" in 2004.

12. They all say suspended. |
|
Its tradition. I think part of it has to do with not giving his delegates to someone else yet.

13. yes, the actual delegates themselves have yet to be elected |
|
in each state each presidental campaign has a campaign representative who has certain rights in the selection of the delegates themselves under the DNC rule; suspending preserves ability to work that process

14. Actually, I think Rudy will say that Al Qaida attacked his campaign. 9/11-9/11-9/11. |
|
The 9/11 actually refers to the range of votes he was predicted to win on Super Tuesday.
