What in the hell is wrong with Chris Matthews???? |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 02:23 PM by TwoSparkles
I'm seriously wondering if Chris Matthews has a split personality.
One minute, he is glowing about the Clintons and practically falling all over himself to get into their good graces.
The next, he can't bash them enough and will run roughshod over them as if he's paid $100 for every Clinton slam.
What is with this guy?
He is entertaining and he definitely is a talented communicator--but does the guy hold any one belief for more than five minutes?
I'm wondered if he is totally swayed by the handlers of both campaigns, because his basic, core beliefs seems to shift by the hour.
It's frickin maddening!

I have a feeling there's some substance abuse involved in Tweety's personality changes. I won't hazard a guess about which substance, despite the subject line. I just suspect its presence.

They don't want either Dem to win. Probably pretty confusing for a script reader like Matthews.

5. He calls that being fair. |
|
He bashes just enough, then praises just enough, so that no one can pin him down and equate him to a Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh.
He really doesn't care about anything...just so his paycheck clears the bank.

9. I wonder the same thing. This morning he practically called Obama's candidacy "dead." |
|
Or "A few hours ago the dream died," I THINK referring to Hillary's "performance" of her phony win in FL.

I never take a thing he says seriously. ONe minute he will be kissing a candidate's butt and the next minute he will cut them down to the ground. I honestly think he is a Republican and can't stand any of the democrats.

It seems like he panders to everyone, and fucks with everyone---so the entire lot of them are at his mercy.
So, they constantly must cater to him---knowing that he's a scatterbrained blow hard who will play vicious with your future, the day after he sung your highest praises.
Matthews seems to play the "You can't pin me down. I'll randomly bash all of you" card, to give himself more power.
In effect, they all kiss his ass hourly, I'm sure--but, behind-the-scenes, treating him like a lunatic with a hand grenade.
Scary.

And he has been for a long time. You never know what kind of crazy shit will come out of his mouth. He seriously could be one of the best political people on TV if he could balance his personality.

I read one of his books and in it he says something to the effect of his conscious won't allow him to be anything but a Democrat but that his upbringing and sensibilities are Republican and it's hard for him to reconcile the two :eyes:
How convenient for him.
