What are the wingnut radio guys going to do if McCain is the nominee? |
|
I'm wondering if they're making professional/business decisions to place themselves in opposition to McCain, to inject some fresh blood into their tired old message.
Guys like Limbaugh have become so predictable that perhaps they see a shift in the market that requires them to put themselves as outsiders after being cheerleaders for the GOP for so long.
A strange dynamic is going on over there on the right.

3. Hannity comes on after Randi and today he was gushing about McCain |
|
He apparently loves him now, although I'm not really sure if he hated McCain as much as Limpdick does.

They will say "We don't think he's a true-blue conservative but any Repub is better than a Democrat".

6. It will be like 1996, when Dole was the nominee |
|
they will go out for McInsane, maybe not with so much gusto, but you can bet Bill Gates' paycheck they will be slimy on the Democratic nominee whether harping on Hillary(calling her Billary for starters) or referring Obama as Osama or Hussein, it will be more of a slash and burn on the Democrats.

7. They'll pretend that they always loved him |
|
We're talking people (the hate radio guys and their audience) that don't have any long term memory. If they say to hate someone/something one week and to love them/it the next, their ilk will blindly march in lockstep without remembering anything else.

In February of 1992, I worked in a office that daily listened to Rush Limbaugh. Rush was a Pat Buchanan fan until two days after the New Hampshire primary, where he suddenly shifted to loving George Bush (the Greater). He never acknowledged the shift, in fact he would go on to deny ever liking Pat Buchanan. He'll do the same now, in full Orwell mode: He'd always been a McCain fan, and only Liberals would lie and point out where he once hated him.
