I have some good news and some bad news
The bad news first: about a million Iraqis, virtually all of them civilians, were killed in the war that HRC voted for and that Obama voted to fund.

But hey, cheer up Iraq! We have the chance to make history by electing a woman or an African American as president!

1. But Obama voted to fund it only with timetables
so that doesn't really count.

2. And what do you do absent any other plan? Let the troops starve?
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 04:18 PM by Kittycat
Because I wouldn't put it past bush to force them to go without food and proper medical care... Oh wait.

You know, it was a damned if you do, damned if you don't vote. We never should have been there (but can thank HRC for her part in that). But until we can get someone in there with a f***ing plan to get us out - not much more can be done. We can't abandon the troops out right. Honestly - even bringing them home is going to cost a load of cash we already don't have.

(And please note - I am VERY anti-war - it's just the state of things are a mess).

3. Whatever happened to "You don't negotiate with terrorists"?
We should have never given in to Bush's fearmongering. Make the right choice and take a stand. If Bush abandons the troops, impeach his chimpy ass.

5. I agree with you 100%. But it's party leadership that has to move that forward.
And pelosi & reid have no interest in letting any of that happen.

4. Damn straight Obama loves the Iraqi War.
Obama is encouraging funding and has voted for it at every chance it came up.
