We need to PROTECT the party and our ideals |
|
Everyday I hear from more Democrats that if Clinton receives the nominee, they will either not vote. Or they will vote for the Republican nominee. WTF!?!?
I am so tiered of hearing this nonsense. I don't think the people that spew out this garbage have the brain capacity to realize how damaging it is. However, the Republicans understand how damaging it could be and are praying to their god that Clinton gets the nominee.
If you are a registered Democrat and will not vote for Clinton if she gets the nominee, then get the hell out of the party. You are NOT a true democrat! So take yourself and you're destructiveness and flush them down the toilet.
If you choose not to vote, well, that is as good as a vote for the Republicans. And if you do vote for the Republicans, its just that. A vote for the Republicans. My point is that not voting actually equals a vote for the GOP.
After EVERYTHING we have been through as a nation. From two botched elections, attacks on our civil liberties, a preemptive attack on Iraq that never should have happened and possibly a war with Iran in the not to distant future. Because you can't stand Clinton so much you are really willing to allow the Republicans to do anything they want? By voting for a Republican, or not voting at all, that is what you are doing. Authorizing the Republicans to do anything they want.
Do you want to protect the following? social security important social programs woman's rights civil liberties right to privacy separation of church and state constitution environment
What about limiting presidential power? Would you like more affordable healthcare, or better yet, universal healthcare? How about a President that will appoint empathetic Supreme Court justices? The list could go on and on. From children, to seniors, to our veterans, etc.
The above is why I am a Democrat. The above is why I will honor my party and always vote for a Democrat. If you vote against a Democrat in a Presidential election because you can't stand him or her, you obviously don't value the core Democratic values very much.

1. I think ANYONE who works AGAINST the Dem nominee is a NOT a Democrat |
|
and you'd be surprised at what SOME wellknown Democrats have done to undermine our nominees in the past. Like Carville - who DOES Carville work for, anyway? Why would he not want Kerry in the WH if he was a real Democrat? http://www.tpmcafe.com/blog/coffeehouse/2006/oct/07/did_carville_tip_bush_off_to_kerry_strategy_woodward

2. Vote for my candidate or the Donkey dies!!!! |

That's all I see. I wish somebody would make a graphic, somebody holding the democratic party mascot with a knife to its throat. That's how it comes across to me. And hell no I'm not going to back it. How can I? ANYBODY can come in with 1% support and say the same shit.

Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and that lovely Clinton legacy killed it. We could fumble a 35-3 lead in the second half. Hey - the Oilers did that once!
(And fuck off if you think I'm a troll. I'm to the left of Trotsky.)

4. We need to protect the party and our ideals from Vichy-Dems who have |
|
abandoned those ideals in the pursuit of political power.
