So i am thinking
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 05:17 PM by AGirl
So I noticed CNN last night , Obama was like “there’s no liberal state of America, there’s no conservative state of America, but there’s only the United States of America”

How come I feel that I have heard of this before from another person? I honestly don’t remember, does anyone have any idea?

And does anyone notice Obama uses his biography and bi racial background for his stump speech? I wonder why the media is not saying he is using the race card, but everytime Hillary talks about being a woman, she is playing the gender card? I just can’t get my head around it. Is it because male political leaders have a better time and easier time using their charisma and board appeals to energize both men and women, while women are scrutinized more and not considered to be as charismatic when it comes to political leadership?

Men have a lot of political leaders and political heroes they can use to resonate with the audience, but what do women have? Women are not largely seen as political leaders , presidents or any other figure, because there are no female presidents as historical figures.

And why is it that we do not accuse men of playing the gender card for supporting and voting male presidents all these years, but when now there is a woman president that women can finally claim as one of their own (gender wise), they are seen as playing the gender card?

I think we are always playing the gender card because gender always matter everywhere.
