New Survey USA poll today for Massachusets after Edwards drops out
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 07:22 PM by sunonmars
Clinton 57 to Obama 33

http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReportPopup.aspx?g=498e2bb1-15aa-489a-b4d8-26d74886ac96&q=45558

5 Days to Massachusetts Democratic Primary, Clinton 24 points Atop Obama: In a Democratic Primary in Massachusetts today, 01/31/08, 5 days to the 02/05/08 vote, Hillary Clinton, on the backs of women, leads Barack Obama by 24 points, according to research conducted exclusively for WBZ-TV Boston. Clinton gets 57% to Obama's 33% today. But the contest is suddenly tied among men. All of Clinton's lead comes from women, where she leads by 39 points. This is SurveyUSA's 3rd tracking poll in MA, but the first since John Edwards withdrew from the contest. Likely Primary voters are asked to pick which one of 8 issues is most important to them. On all 8 issues, Clinton does better than Obama.

14. There is not date of survey on that link
The day they release the polls do not equal the date that they CONDUCT the survey

43. Because the poll was not taken after he dropped out. The real question you should be asking is...
why didn't the op include the actual dates of the poll?

The Rasmussen poll which showed Clinton 43 and Obama 37 was taken before Florida on the 28th after SC and showed a bounce for Obama and the Survey USA was taken after Florida.

So is this a Florida bounce for Hillary, could explain the Tenessee poll today showing a huge leap for Hillary.

18. Here, look, it was the 24th and she's dropped 3
I must have clicked the wrong link earlier. Edwards voters went to Obama, that'll create the momentum necessary to move this vote the other direction.

23. But she's down in Boston

The race is tightening up and she'll do well in some states and not well in others and the only thing that matters is significant movement in the polls at this point.

from the 28th. Gets nothing from Edwards. We'll see what happens after people get a whiff of yet another Clinton scandal.

Their national numbers are usually pretty damn bad.

19. Obama is likely to take the lion's share of Edwards' voters in the
North-East. But different polls show different things. On Hardball, they were talking about some poll that showed it to be closer than that. And how accurate has Survey USA been?
